    Hi all,
Just wanting to hear what makes you happy in relation to your gender/sexuality? What I mean is whether your gender identity makes you happy, and how so, and whether your sexuality makes you happy, and how so?
Lets make this really positive, because I know what things I love about being gay.

Well, I believe that being trans has made me much more empathetic and reselient. If I were a cisguy, I probably never would have thought twice or cared about trans-people. But this forces me to face it, and realize that I should have an open mind about more things too.

I like being queer (ace too, but this is beside the point) because I can be hella flamboyant and not even care.

I like being a part of this community. If I could choose my sexuality, I won't choose to be straight. Many queer people are so much more open-minded because they know what it's like to be judged. And the more I got invested in this community, the more understanding and tolerant I became, which is obviously awesome.
I am also very proud not to be just into one gender. Yes, there are times I wish to be straight or a lesbian because it seems easier but mostly I am happy with being able to go more than one way. I can't even describe why, it's just cool.

Who said it makes you happy? It drives me bloody insane.

I hate men but my stupid sexuality makes me like them. I rather like men than women because women in general are just plain stuck up snooty pathetic glory hunters.

I love being trans, because it gives me a different perspective on the world.

Okay, so, women are actually amazing, and glorious. You should treat women with more respect. I mean, cmon, a woman created you inside her.

I kinda love how realizing my gender has made it clear what I want out of life and that I am strong enough to go for it.
Almost everything about my gender makes me happy, I just hate the things I'll have to go through for others to see it too.

I love my gender even with all the random shifts of male and female because it let's me look through life two ways. It also helps reassure me that whatever I enjoy does not equal my gender because I constantly break stereotypes everyday. I am the same person regardless of what gender I am currently because what really matters is my actions not my clothing or genitalia.

When it comes to sexuality I'm fairly sure that's ace, but I could be wrong and that's okay. I've met so many supportive people and even made some new friends, but sadly I still don't like cake. Who I am attracted to romantically is unknown and unnecessary as I'm more focused on school than a relationship, but maybe someday. When that day comes I'll be ready to wander through the rest of life with a special someone whether it's a he, she, or they ^_^

Here wre the things i LOVE About being gay:

I get to stare at hot guys, for as long as i want, and they'll think i'm staring into space. Especially if this of from a far distance.

I'll never have to worry about getting anyone pregnant.

I can hate on guys and be all like " boys are so dumb!" And it'll still makes sense.

I don't have to worry about dating drama in school. Ever.

Girls will want me to be their bestfriend. Always.

Girls will feel more safe around me, because they know i won't rape them. I need to check my gay-male priviledge!

Things i HATE about being gay:

My parents might never accept me. They're in their 40-50's and the meaningless homophobia is just too ingrained in their heads for any reversal...sad, but true.

My family might never accept me, for the same reasons.

I'm going to disappoint my families cultural expectations, since i'm the only boy, i'm expected to carry the family name, by getting married. And if i'm gay i can't do that, so...that sucks.

i have to deal with my crushes alone.

It's helped me speak more honestly with my family, and encouraged honesty in them.
It's helped me realize that I've got dependable friends who won't abandon me.
I can sleep at night knowing that some people really love me for who I am!
On rare occasions these days I actually feel sexy when I look in the mirror.
I like my own anatomy more now that I know it's not all that defines me.
I know this is not the case for many, but I like being a girl with something extra downstairs. So what if it's contradictory? Contradictions can make life worth living. It's why people act with a sense of purpose in a meaningless world. There are plenty of ways you can live the human experience, and this to me is the one that feels just right.

I love being trans, I know it's going to have it's rough patches. Heck, people have been treating me differently just because I finally cut my hair. I don't really know how to describe my feelings about being trans. I think I would have been an open minded person if I weren't trans but I think being trans has helped me become a more caring and understanding person. I still have a way to go but I really like the improvement I've had from a few months ago.

I like being gay. Simply put. Sure because I'm trans, it might make it harder for me to find a guy but they're out there. I just really like guys though.

What I love about my sexuality I guess is... Eh, it can be hard sometimes. But I was chilling on Tumblr (not the SJW side, don't worry) yesterday and I found a masterpost-thingy of bisexual text posts all paired up with one of my favourite bi characters and... It sounds trivial and silly, I know, but I just felt so happy and accepted that I almost physically cried. Which wouldn't be a big deal except I don't cry at things like that, ever.

Something I love about my sexuality? Probably getting to appreciate girls more. Like, wow. Girls.

I see how frustrated my male friends get in straight relationships because of the emotional differences. I hear from my female friends how their male partners just don't understand them. I hear from both sides how they aren't getting enough sex or the right kind etc. I genuinely admire the effort, patience, compromise and determination that a heterosexual relationship requires, just to be compatible.
Then I go home to my partner and we just work together. That's why I love being gay, you can fall in love with your best mate and create a relationship that fits you both perfectly.

This is how we know that being gay isn't a choice. If it was, everyone would be doing it.

Some people like me just because I'm a lesbian, because they think it's interesting and want to ask me a lot of questions. It's nice that they want to learn more about people who are different from them. ^^

    Additionally:
    1. I have a fear of pregnancy, and this way I can't reasonably worry about that.
    2. Dating a guy would make me feel feminine in comparison, and I don't like to feel that way. I'd have to find a straight guy who is feminine and treats me like a guy, but that might be tough!
    3. It makes me different. I like to be different. I've never fit in anyway. I see girls differently from how straight girls see other girls, and I like having a different perspective.
    4. It's fun coming out to people and seeing how they respond. Sometimes they're hilariously shocked. ^.^
    5. 'Cause GIRLS ARE AMAZING. And I can see it easily. I can appreciate them a lot. It is wonderful to feel what I do for them. I cannot imagine life without loving girls in the way I do.

Ah, thank you for making this thread; I suddenly feel extremely happy about being gay.

Question #1: Being a female is awesome because..well, we're freakin gorgeous! lol. And we get to have more fun.
Question #2: Being a lesbian makes me happy because liking women is just a total blessing!! There's so many pretty ladies to look at wherever you go lol.

I'm trying to find a better way to phrase this, but here it is.

I appreciate how all of it has helped me grow to become more understanding, along with helping me appreciate and emphasise with others more than before. It's definitely given me a different perspective on life, and a good one. Everything with my sexuality and gender has made me a stronger person, too.

I just love the fact that I like girls, I mean they are soft and have boobs! If I wasn't gay how could I experience their awesomeness.
