What inspired your username?

Étoile is my favorite word in French. It means 'star'. Plus, it looks and sounds cute. And I like the way stars look.

 

I am a daydreamer, and I listened to Racer X when I was joining the site. Simple!

 

I was a bad closet case when I signed up. XD Now I'm not though!

 

Epiphanies are sudden mental discoveries. They're my favorite. I was hoping to come to some epiphany about myself, but I also enjoy them when I'm doing something in school and it all of a sudden makes sense. Especially during physics and math tests!

I don't think a lot of the time, and just act on impulse, hence, Absentminded =D

 

Life in general inspired it. I always try to put on another's shoes before i make any judgments - hence - openminded. (&&&)

 

Hidden - because at that point in time I was out to no one and felt like I was hiding my true identity. Angel - because I'm anything but. Plus it sounded cool and Hidden Devil just doesn't have the same ring to it.

 

Well, almost EVERYONE calls me Jazz, cause my full name is Jasmine...
And RAWR is just such a fun word.
I say it alot when I'm frustrated, and I was frustrated with not knowing my sexuality when I joined up...so jazzrawr it was.

And it also has my name hidden in it. lol

 

I changed mine cause it's a line from one of my favorite songs.

 

Well, I write an anonymous blog called silentsoundsystem. When I made that I just pulled it out of thin air, but over time I started building a semi-anonymous identity behind it (I had started the blog to give myself an outlet for writing about being gay and other things that I couldn't talk about in my real life or sites that were attached to the real me). When I came to EC I was looking for a similar anonymity, so it got shortened to silentsound. Now I wouldn't change it. I think it has a subtle quirkiness wrapped up in a more thoughtful philosophical concept of silence and sound that has really grown on me.

I've always used cartoon characters for my names on messageboards. Since this is a gay-oriented one, I chose a gay cartoon character - Lexington, the youngest clan member from the 90s cartoon Gargoyles. That's him on the left.
