I want to but my local LGBTQ+ community hasn't been all that accepting of who I am as a person. I've tried to message them multiple times and set up different things, only to be ignored (literally) which truly rubs me the wrong way. I've tried many times to make friends in the mix of everyone and it's just.. very toxic to be around. Very toxic energy.

I might go. Hope it's not as lame as it was last year.

I'm not sure. I could go -- some members of the campus LGBT group are going, and I get along well with them -- but I'm not sure I want to. Also, it's the day after a huge party, so I might not even be in a state where I can go. Last year, I was nauseous and dizzy all day.

I guess I'll see on the very day. I still have a few weeks before I decide. But yeah, rainbows will definitely be present if I go.

Hopefully I'll at the least get a pride bracelet or something with rainbows. First I just gotta tell my dad and brother. No biggie!

No and I probably never will:frowning2: Due to my anxiety over loud noises, it wouldn't be a good idea.

I'm not a big fan of pride parade/festival. Many people attending the event wear very little clothing. I don't understand the point of exposing too much of your body out in public when you're not at the beach. To me, it just seemed like you are very sexually frustrated, looking to get into someone's pants.

My partner and I always go to at least the parade. We usually have friends over for brunch before hand. The parade here in Chicago usually draws about a million people. It's awesome! We also generally--although not always--go to at least one day of the Pride festival.

We do more of a carnival type thing rather than a parade here. We'll probably go (and definitely since a group we belong to has a booth and we may be volunteering to cover for a bit), but also probably won't stay hugely long. It's generally 90+ degrees and humid when Norfolk has it's Pride event and also carnivals and such don't generally hold our interest for more than an hour or two and then we want to get out of the heat and also we have things to do...

I've never been, so I'm looking forward to checking it out. I will probably go with a few (straight) friends who said they'd be up for accompanying me. It honestly might not be my scene from what I've heard, but I'm hoping it'll still be fun and maybe I can get some more info on local groups and events while I'm there.

Every year we go and we take our kids. They are young adults and an older teen now but I started to take them when they were young. They have kids areas and to be honest, people mention 'too little clothing' but it's really no different than your local beach. People look for a reason to say gay people are freaks and this is the newest one I guess.....We make a family event out of it often inviting and taking the grandparents to it as well. They love it and look forward to it each year.

I was going to go to Motor City Pride, but is $5 for admission and $15 for parking. You can't bring in outside food or drink either. It could be a lot better. Ferndale Pride near me got rained on pretty badly yesterday. It was good that it was free though.

I'm thinking I might actually go this year. Got the ticket pages for both Liverpool and Manchester open and I'm just waiting on a few things. Last year I couldn't bring myself to because I wasn't out at all. This year, though, a few family and even more friends at least know about my sexual and romantic orientations and a couple of others know I'm genderfluid. So I can go this year without worrying.

Are you going to pride? I've went 4 years in a row, tentatively planning on it again this year, but not a forsure thing.
Wearing rainbows Nope. Wouldn't risk it, still have to get all the way from home to PrideFest... I'll just wear a plain tshirt & jeans.
    or sparkles?... No thanks.
maybe some glitter? eeekk  ... the sale & manufacture of that crap should be banned

I'm definitely going to be celebrating this month in lieu of a Supreme Court ruling legalising same sex marriage nationally, and plan on going to Pride St. Louis this year.

Ours is usually in July or August. Maybe I'll go, maybe I won't. Depends how busy I am. Eventually I would like to go to the parade. I've gone to gay events associated with pride, but never the parade.
