I know how you feel, I looked into it and supposedly it’s pretty normal.

I’ve cried at weddings, movies,tv shows and lots of other things but never because someone died.

Never achieving a goal or dream.

When I was a garbage man I was afraid of finding an abandoned child or animal in the dumpsters or garbage can.

Man made heights. Like I can go stand on the rock ledge of the Snake River Canyon, but I'll punch your lights out if you make me go up in a scissor lift or other man lifts like cherry pickers and the like. Also F planes.

My fears are pretty extreme lol
    * Not becoming successful, career wise
    * Breaking up with my bf (It's dumb, even though its been awhile I still sometimes get random anxiety that he'll think I'm too much or think he could do better)
*Reaching a point where my mental abilities are completely gone (eg dementia/Alzheimers)
    * My bf's loved ones dying

In an oddly comforting way, it's nice that I've lived through similar fears. The fears happened, I grew from the experience, and I no longer have to worry about them.

I'm scared of abandonment and I guess just genuinely being myself.

I fear old age. I won't have children, so I'm likely to be alone. I fear Alzheimer's too.

As dumb as this sounds I fear I'm going to be alone forever. I don't want to die never having loved someone. I read something once on my astrological sign and it was something like - To live without loving is not really living. So basically I fear I'll never find love.

Bugs touching me - if there's a spider in the corner I can just catch it and put it outside, but if I find it crawling on me it's just going to die.

In terms of specific phobias, I have an irrational fear of flying over water. Also needles.

I also have a terrible fear of failure/rejection. A lot of times if I don't think something's going to go well I won't even try, which I know I need to work on.

Maybe I'm twisted, but tornadoes and wasps are the only two thing I fear down deep inside. I've had snakes and tarantulas as pets, wild spiders are good for keeping other pests down so I just put them in a cup and take them outside.

I used to think it was ridiculous that people were scared of rodents because I always thought rats and mice were cute. Then there was that story in the news about the guy in Australia who ate the slug that was infested with parasites from eating rat faeces. Plus one of my relatives got a nasty infection in her finger after she pricked it on a thorn while she was gardening, and the doctors believed that came from rat faeces on the weeds. That incident has made me terrified of touching a lot of plants without any protective gloves on. If I'm out walking my dog and he takes a dump on any kind of bush with thorns, I'll leave it. It may not be good manners but I don't want to risk pricking my finger.
So it's not the rats that scare me, it's their shit.

Speaking of walking the dog, us dog owners have a lot to be scared of. Alabama Rot has become quite a threat, and I worry about my dog picking that up. I also get scared that my dog will see a squirrel and run out in the road to chase it, so he stays on the lead if we're not in an enclosed space.

They might be cute, but always remember that rats caused the black death plague which killed 60% of Europe. They can never be trusted again after that...

    • The dark, and the underside of the bed. I don't even let my legs or feet hang over the edge when I'm lying down, because the boogeyman will drag me under the bed and devour me
    • Heights
    • Most spiders, with one exception (daddy longlegs). Oh and those tiny green or black ones also don't bother me. It's just the jumping spiders (even though they're adorable) and the big ones (which I usually catch and release by means of a container with a lid).
    • Scorpions - I've never been stung by one, but I don't intend on messing with one and getting stung.

Oddly enough, I'm not scared of letting bees walk on me, I'm not freaked out by frogs, lizards and (non-venomous) snakes. I also have no problem handling worms and certain bugs (There are a few bugs though which I refuse to pick up). I also don't mind handling (pet) rats/mice or hamsters, even though they can give a nasty nip. But dogs and cats can do that too, and I'm not scared of those, even though I've been bitten by dogs before...

Reasonably? The entire Bible Belt, guns, our current leadership, fire, spiders/wasps, water, humanity, alcohol, bigotry, losing my (cat) children... it's a long list. I don't handle my fears well, and tend to constantly hide as a form of protection.

Unreasonably? Yorkshire terriers and similar dark-eyed small dogs. Childhood phobia, presumably. Dogs in general intimidate me but they specifically make me want to jump on the table or kitchen counter. Was told I got a pretty bad bite but I don't remember it. And blood. I just kind of freak out at the sight of it and my fingers/toes go numb.

I'm adding some to mine because I forgot them: Centipedes, scorpions, and heights. I'm actually good with heights in certain cases, but other times, it freaks me out.

Right now, my biggest fear is that my left hand will never recover from an injury I sustained during surgery a month ago, and that it will be in pain the rest of my life (or until I choose to amputate it if this nightmare happens).
