I appreciate the thought, but I can't help but feel like I've missed that boat already. I'm not that young, I should have far more to my name than I do. I think a better question is why on Earth would someone want to date me?

I'm not going to find a girlfriend in my small town, that's for sure. Nor have I had much luck with dating apps, but I don't know any other way of finding someone. All the gay scenes are aimed at gay men. I don't know where the queer women get to but I've seen plenty of lesbian couples at Pride so they must go somewhere.

Giving up and helping others find dates instead seems awful tempting right now. Not that I'd know much about that mind you, but I am surprisingly good at giving relationship advice.

You not the only one that thinks that. In the UK we have had 3 riots prisons overpopulated and the only way the gov is dealing with it is letting rapists escape a prison by giving them community orders

    Absolutely crazy

Er...what is your source for that information, Gaydave82?

I'd be very surprised if any convicted rapist in the UK was getting a community sentence.

Gaydave82 - before you make assertions you should check your facts. If you actually read the Sky News article it says:

"Mr Chalk also said that reports claiming judges are being told not to send rapists to prison because cells are full are "untrue" and that "the most serious and dangerous offenders are being locked away for longer" already."

In the Guardian article it says:

"A senior crown court judge was quoted by the Times as saying that, from Monday, judges have been “ordered/strongly encouraged” not to jail someone who appears before them.

They were said to have added that the “biggest concern” was defendants charged with historical rape or rape of a child under 13 and other sexual assault, as even if convicted they were now likely to remain on bail."

Being on bail means being on bail. It does not mean receiving community sentences.

Please...there's is enough misinformation out there amidst the squalor of social media. Don't add to it here.

Okay sorry. But the prisons in the UK are getting overpopulated and we have had 3 riots already. Resulting in more arrests

I think it's important to be whimsical and not take life too seriously sometimes. If possible.

Intrusive thoughts are so bizarre sometimes.

"You can't do this, you won't be able to do this when you're 70"

"Um, OK, I'm 25. This isn't dangerous to my health, what's the issue here? I'll just do other things when I'm 70. Why is that relevant now?"

    "NO."

    "???"

    :face_palm:

Why can’t you do both, no harm in helping others along the way.

Don’t give up there is someone out there just hoping they will meet you one day. I know right now it might seem bleak but don’t give up.

Dealing with university, home life, mental and physical health while trying to get on my feet and trying to maintain friendships during this all is very stressful. I'm exhausted.
