Scared of what's going on at the moment. I haven't felt afraid like this as a gay man in twenty years.

    Totally agree.
    It totally terrifies me.
That's why I started coming up with a plan to move out of the country first chance I get when I was 12.

I'm talking about the political situation in the US. I haven't felt this precarious about gay rights in twenty years. I think something horrible is coaming either way.

It's interesting to me that in a book series, there's usually books that are more memorable than others. Such as, say, really enjoying the third book, forgetting most of the forth and mainly just remembering the end of the fifth. There are moments that stick with you a lot. Particular quotes that may even influence how you view things. It's especially heavy when you relate to a character significantly, recognising similar flaws within yourself and other characters call them out on their behaviour. The character realises the error of their ways and starts to change. Excuse me, I didn't realise I was going to have a moment of reflection and realisation about myself when I came here to read this entertaining story.

It's a view I have read/heard a few times now. I can certainly see the discontent and ever deeper political divisions, socio-economic and racial inequalities increasing to the point where the US could be on a footing towards civil war - in some respects, it is already on that path.

Thanks for your concern. It's alright. I always land on my feet. This too shall pass.

I love it when weather forecasters get the forecast wrong. It's raining steadily since this morning. Perfect reading weather.

This is mostly a rant-ish thought than anything...

During my time working at my gym, it seems quite common among my colleagues to start taking the mick out of their clients. I can understand that some people in the gym are generally just silly, but in no way, shape, or form, should my colleagues behave the way they do. They make comments about their obesity, the way they speak, how little weight they can lift, or how bad they are at exercise.

It frustrates me because those people come to them wanting life-changing experiences. They want to lose weight, gain muscle, learn how to be healthy. It's just as well they have no idea the things their trainers say about them.

I'm grateful to the fact I have a mindset where I don't care what shape or size anybody is, or what quirks they have, all I care about is helping them achieve their fitness goals. I'm glad I refuse to join in with their silly jokes and rants about their clients.
