Hopefully the communication is going to be okay. If you see that your supervisor's communication is terrible, it might be worthwhile to keep applying to other positions/opportunities. If a supervisor/manager has terrible communication skills, usually this translates into unnecessary frustrations and stress in the workplace. Give them a chance and critically evaluate how things go along the way.

Every time I write something in this site, I always edit my post because often I notice typos and things I forgot to include.

I wonder if LGBT people have gender preferences or are disappointed at finding out the gender of their child.

It’s starting to feel cold. I might have to put my shorts away soon and get my jeans out.

I assume so, like any other parents.

It sounds terrible to say this, but I really hope all of my future kids are boys. I grew up with two sisters and I just really can't see myself raising a girl. I wouldn't know how, at all, the mindset is completely different. Even when I was a little kid I had no clue why my sisters were upset about things, or why they wanted to do things, took offence at stuff etc. and I just know I'd screw up a thousand different ways trying to raise a girl. Boys are so much easier and so much less drama.

I don't personally see myself being a parent but I kinda agree. Not so sure about boys being easier, they're probably a different type of challenge.

Basically all of my cousins are girls and my sister is my only sibling. I only have one male cousin who lives 100 miles away and we have barely spoken a word to each other ever. If I was a parent, I'd want a boy for a different challenge given that I've seen several girls grow up already. Plus, and this will be controversial, I don't think that two dads would be well equipped to raise a girl during puberty. Guys get an easier ride at that point of life IMO.

I can’t understand why universities are even having dorms open during this pandemic. I get if it’s a foreign exchange student, but I would def not want to be on a dorm right now.

COVID isn't really a killer of young, healthy folks. Precautions are obviously needed, they should keep distance where appropriate, wear masks where appropriate and otherwise crack on. Education is really important regardless of a virus being around.

Over 400 Arizona State University students already tested positive for Covid. I get that they aren’t necessarily at risk, but I’m just waiting for that to cause the numbers to skyrocket and then a second shutdown.

We had over 500 infected in 6 hours at one nightclub here at FSU. They got a huge fine for it, rebranded as a "restaurant" where you need to "reserve a table" and were back open again the very next day. They're still open. Over 1,000 people were there last night. Yayyy covid.

We need to stop focusing on death totals, though. People survived polio...but the side effects from surviving polio were detrimental to them. COVID is new and we don't fully know the long term side effects. Sure, if I get it, I probably won't die. But what about the long term effects on my lungs? Heart? Body, in general? That's the thing.

But even when we focus on just death, immunocompromised people go to college, they go to school. Should those people be deprived of an education because of a medical condition they already had? Dorms are a cesspool of a germs in normal situations, and from what I'm hearing about campus life now...they're not fun. Young people have died of COVID. Just because it hasn't killed many doesn't mean we can ignore the fact that it has.

I'm not sure how things have been in Scotland, but the US has been an absolute wreck at handling things.

Agreed. One doctor in Arizona said he had screened a few young people that had recovered from Covid and then after looking at their results, asked them if they could breathe okay. They said yes. He said that they had lost almost 10% of their lung capacity.

I've been friends with benefits with this guy all summer. We mesh super well in bed and just chilling hanging out. And within the last like three hours he just...blocked me. I hadn't even talked to him at all today, apart from including him on a few Snaps I sent several friends. I don't know what I did, but now I feel all messed up inside right before bed...

I've been telling myself forever that if he ever just wanted to stop, I'd agree to stop...but blocking me out of the blue just feels messed up and cold.

Time to stop reading, otherwise, I'll likely end up reading through the night. It's hard not to get lost in the book and lose track of time.
