    Being openly gay but not talking about it that much except for certain social circles or if it comes up in conversation, can lead to some interesting moments sometimes. Such as when you're talking to someone and they start talking to you as if you being gay is just common knowledge but you've never directly told them, so you're just there thinking "Wait...how do you know? Who was your source? Did you just guess? Huh? Not a big deal but wha-?"

    I tend to find that I'm fairly straight-passing (although as I'm exploring different styles and having a mini-identity crisis that is starting to change). Except with other people in the community, or straight people that have a significant amount of gay friends, they usually guess that I'm not-straight. I think that when I start dating, I'll mostly lose my tendency to pass. Especially if I start dressing how I actually want to dress. The thought of that is exciting but terrifying.

    My husband, children, and I lived in Arizona last year for 5 months during the summer. (My husband had a temporary job transfer). I remember that feeling of not being able to get enough water in me too. Eventually, I got used to taking a bunch of water with us wherever we went. I miss Arizona. It was quite an experience living in the desert. :slight_smile:

    Officially parted ways with someone I was friends with on and off for just shy of 2 years. Pretty much mutually agreed now.

    Not sure if I should feel relieved or sad. Sucks when things end on a low note when there were much better times.
