Oki, the rain is coming in sideways now! I can't even see in front of me it's a downpour!!!

 

So I'm staying in Illinois for the next 10 days visiting family. Although I miss my dad and my pets it's good to be back and see everyone

The trams are not the place for me at this hour. There were drunk people all over the place, and then I was offered cannabis by some scary youths at the tram stop. That's why I don't go to parties.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are so many recent questions about one's political leanings, but I'm finding "political leanings" to be a less and less interesting topic the more divisive politics becomes. Like sexuality labels, "leanings" become a new form of compartmentalization.

 

Mm, a well-cooked steak is all that much more delicious under the influence of some good mead...

I haven't paid attention to any such questions, but somewhat agree; personally I'm more interested in seeing how others talk about politics regardless of their leanings, not to mention discussing topics themselves. The political divide is a confusing matter for me, on the one hand it's an unavoidable reality which connects to serious issues, but it's also sort of a... sociological phenomenon? in showing current trends in thinking among the public at large or within certain demographics (by region, community, ideology, etc.)

 

Not quite. It's not enough to make it an indoor swimming pool but it's enough to be a nuisance. The entire house (it's a small house) smells like wet dog for a week or two afterwards, depending on whether I can move the rugs fast enough to avoid them getting soaked. And if, in a moment of absentmindedness, leave anything sitting near the wall that leaks the worst, it's getting soaked, too.

Don't get me wrong, there's an advantage to having my room down here (it's much cooler in the summer, and now that I'm working third-shift it's nice and dark during the day so I can sleep), but it's a pain in the ass when nature decides to throw a fit.

 

I feel a tinge of sadness every time I see a asexual or demisexual thread on here. Only a matter of time before some certain people who think it's more important to be anal douchebags about their personal thoughts on the matter rather than actually trying to be helpful chime in...
