LOL yeah that might be a record. Although we hold a few of our own in the bowl department. Michigan won the first-ever bowl game: the 1902 Rose Bowl blowing out Stanford 49-0. Michigan was in the first year of a four-year period in which they won 55 games out of 56, the only other being a 6-6 tie with Minnesota that started the Little Brown Jug tradition. In those days, nobody could even score on Michigan, as they pitched shutouts in every game they played in 1901, 1902, and all but one in 1903.

Before the game, Michigan's legendary football coach and future AD, Fielding Yost, approached the Stanford coach and said he wanted to shorten the game because of extremely hot weather conditions. He replied, "Surely we can't do that. These people have paid a great sum of money to see the game."

So the game was played and with 8 minutes left in the game, Stanford had so many injured players that they decided it wasn't worth continuing such a losing effort and that they'd forfeit at that point. Yost replied to that Stanford coach and said, "Surely we can't do that. These people have paid a great sum of money to see the game."

The coach replied, "Well I'd say that 95% of these people are Stanford fans who've probably seen enough and would like to go home." We didn't go to another bowl game until 1948, when we obliterated USC by the same score of 49-0. The local newspaper in Pasadena ran the headline, "MICHIGAN FAILS TO IMPROVE."

So.. bacon flavoured chips actually taste good. I cannot believe that I like them. They don't even really taste like bacon. Just some kind of subset of BBQ chips.

 

This week is going to be brutual after having 5 days off.

So this is how I'm spending my 26th birthday. Getting thoroughly buzzed and watching Les Miserables.

Not everyone's idea of celebrating a birthday but I'm having fun.

That I'm never going to get this English portfolio done, and I'll probably fail the class. I'm already going to fail my history class, because I'll never be able to finish the book in time to get my final project done.

I so glad my semester ends in 4 weeks, I can't breathe anymore. So many things to do and I have no idea when and how I'm going to do them (except for my time here, but I'm not going to forget EC just for my studies. I'm already not here as much as I would want to be :tears: )
