For guys and girls. God forbid if anyone around here says they have never seen either of those movies (though I was 19 when I finally saw Forrest Gump)

I swear I never check this site as many times in one day as I do when I'm having an ongoing conversation with someone.

I am so sick of people on here who will only be supportive of others on their terms. No better than conversion"therapists."

As I do every year, I cringe when I see the stupid baby name list that gets published by the Social Security Administration. Topping the list this year are real names with slaughtered spellings (Alyvviaah-pronounced "Olivia"), made-up shit like "Mhavryck," and brand and product names. Polaroid, Subaru, and Stryker. Heck, somebody even named their kid "Pentagram" last year.

I think there ought to be a list of approved names you have to choose from. My birth name isn't that bad, even though I don't go by it, but at least it's not anything like that! If you name your kid Subaru or Pentagram, you should be arrested. There was a girl I went to high school with who was named Jewels Rain. She went by Jill.

Subaru is a genuine Japanese name although in this case, it probably is the car company and all i can say to that is: why?

Subaru is an actual Japanese name though. Just so happens that the brand is named after a person. Same for Toyota and Kia I suspect.

While we're at it, here's some trivia about car names: Suzuki is also a common last name in Japan and while I'm not sure off hand if the mitsubishi company was named after anybody, it's name can be translated out to "three diamonds" which is why the car logo is three diamonds. Also @Matto-Corvo: nice guess but Kia is actual from South Korea

I have the most amazing best friend ever. My brother and sister in law were out at the beginning if the month and said they thought it was funny how my best friends husband didn't mind her hanging out with a random guy. We kind of just laughed (not out to my brother) and left it at that. Tonight we were hanging out and it some how came up and she laughed and said "well its not like you are really a dude even". When she said that I just about cried it made me feel so good and happy.

I really thought I'd never experience sleep paralysis again. If it was a person, then I'd gouge their fucking eyes out and be done with it

Yay good for you :rolle: (just kidding lol). Considering we just got a football team 5-6 years back, I think we tied for record of startup that is bowl eligible.

That moment, when you forget your winter hat at home and the ice-cold wind and the snow blizzards are freezing your brain from the inside out... Not the brightest moments in my life
