If I ever play Mario Kart on N64, it'll be made possible by my computer, project64, and my Xbox controller. (5 seconds later) I wanna play it now.

am I the only one who hated mario kart.
The controls where and drift where so damn annoying I couldn't stand playing it; plus it always lead to arguments.
Meanwhile SSB that is my baby in waiting.

Insurance stopped covering my therapy... How am I supposed to actually get better if I'm too poor for counseling...?

I'm thinking of going on my state's Medicaid program cause I'm no longer making enough $ for regular insurance... Cause I think they'd actually cover my therapy 100%. But then I worry about being able to stay on my hormones...

I think my Pride piece is coming along well. So far I'm happy with it. [IMG] Hopefully I'll have it up at some point tomorrow.

And personally, I think the guy I'm drawing in it is pretty hot. But maybe I'm just biased because he's my character.

Holy shit, I thought I'd never see a bunch of TERFs on tumblr again, but it's good to know their shit spewing drivel is in the trans tags now. I'm so glad I'm far away from those clowns, because I'd fight 'em all to protect my sisters, brothers, and non-binary sibs from their crap.

I think TERFs are honestly jealous of us for some reason. Maybe mommy and daddy didn't get them the color car they wanted or they got rejected one too many times for being bigoted pieces of trash. I dunno. But I'll happily fight every last one of them to the death if it meant they'd fuck off forever.

If I remember correctly, Oregon's Medicaid program provides full coverage for that sort of thing.

They do BUT I wouldn't have a primary care doc anymore and I dunno how I would get one without a waiting list that would seriously damper me and my hormones...

Our health care system is corrupt to the core. Jesus H Christ, why was single payer and "the public option" taken off the table?

Oh, man. Looking through some old journals from my teenage years remind me so much of some of the posts from our younger members here. It basically just reinforced what I already knew, but also reminded me with examples I don't even consciously recall.

Hmph, better to throw them out physically, than to track individual posts online before deleting them!

It's funny, since many of them are gender non-conforming, themselves. A few "ex-trans men" are propped up as heroes, and even write of their experiences. One says he/she wishes more transgender people were "critical" before deciding they're trans.

Remind me of those homophobic pastors who are found out to be sleeping with a male prostitute, or something. Because your average person doesn't think much of transgenders at all, and what they do say it's mostly out of ignorance, not obsession.

I find it odd that hormones are "medically necessary," but not therapy. It's just not right.

Could you find a provider that offers a sliding scale? If not, I haven't tried this but could you see a psychiatrist (MD) who also has a masters or PH.D.? They may be rare but could offer a "medical" way to get therapy.

I mean I'm thinking about going back on it. I think they'll at least cover my mental health, surgeries, and hormones. I'll just make sure I have a few months supply of my T before I even make the attempt. This is if I can't find a better client by then. Jesus, I can't wait until I'm done with college. Least then I could actually have time to look for full time work.

    You tell me. :icon_sad:

    ---------- Post added 27th Jun 2016 at 08:31 PM ----------

Yeah, my insurance sucks with mental health. And I should've known better before I went with them but I was thrilled about having hormone and surgery access and better PCPs.

I'm thinking about it. I just really like my therapist and we're only just starting to make progress on my issues. The clinic he's with might offer sliding scale but I don't know for sure and I'd have to ask when I see him again. I know they do if you don't have insurance but dunno with mine and what their policy is.

And the irony is, if I went on my state's Medicaid, my therapist takes it. I just need to find out what to do about my hormones...
