    Sigh... I wish I would've realized I liked my friend before she left the country. I know it would've complicated things but it's better than wondering "what if?". I ignored my own feelings because I thought we would probably never see each other again. I think from now on, I'm gonna take more risks when it comes to love and relationships. I'm done being passive and analyzing my emotions. I've let two potential romances pass in the past year because I overanalyze every single thing and stifle my feelings. Time for a new leaf.

    Malcolm Turnbull emphasised Australia's intention of increasing ties to France and Germany following Brexit, which was hardly surprising given Australia's new defence ties to France, but significant to bring up at this juncture.

    I wonder how seriously this will impact Western nations' security policies, especially if the emergency budget slashes British defence spending. I'd hope that Britain doesn't leave a power vacuum where a decent military still stands.

    About how the racist, xenophobic bigots of my country have ruined my life, the lives of my generation and possibly many generations to come.

    About how I could leave the United Kingdom and move to an independent Scotland (if/when they gain independence) or the Republic of Ireland, within the next three years so I can still fulfill my dream of living and working in Europe.
