I was going to go to Motor City Pride, but that just happened. I am afraid just as you are.

Same. Today has been a whirlwind of emotions.

It's always been this horrible. Sadly. That's why it's so hard to believe it will all be okay one day.

I kind of feel that I shouldn't go to pride.

I don't even know if I am going to Pride this year. I was going to volunteer. This whole week's been a whirlwind but now, I mean do we all go as a show of solidarity or do we all stay home?

But who really feels up for Pride anyway? Like even if we all went, do we fake our glee, do we soldier through a parade? I mean, so many of us already look behind our shoulders every day... Even our safe havens aren't safe.

Can't believe I'm starting summer on sad note. First we lose Christina Grimmie, and now we lost 50 people. I'm listening to Miss You - Aaliyah to help myself with this pain. Thinking about all those dead people in that nightclub brings a disturbing image in my mind. I.... Don't Know What To Expect....

For once I admitted that I cried to my friends. I love how my catholic friend is the most supportive though. The others didn't say anything, I don't know why, maybe they deal with it differently. Or they don't care that much.

Being able to admit you cried takes guts. And I love the fact your Catholic friend is the most supportive

    -------

In other news, I've been watching CNN's coverage of the Orlando shooting for the past few hours. And my dad asks me, "why are you so interested in this?" and my mom is all, "can you turn it off? I'm tired of hearing about it." and I'm here thinking, "um...I don't like turning a blind eye and I like staying informed."

My mom said the same thing about the Megantic train incident in 2013. Personally, when I hear stuff like this, I can't turn away from it :/

    Edit: My 1000th post. Yay.

It doesn't surprise me. A lot of my more religious friends have been very, very supportive. But they're not conservative at all.

I woke up and turn on my computer and went online (google is my home page) and I saw a black ribbon and I thought "there isn't something going on today" and i put my cursor over it and it said "our hearts are with the victims and families of Orlando" and I was, "damn, a bad tornado." Sadly, it was worse than that.

And it just found out it was a GAY nightclub. I can't wait to read the barfing response from CAIR and the Republican leadership.

I want to cry, but I can't, just like every other time. I've never felt unsafe because I'm gay, but this sure is scary.
