Wow so my 11 year old sister walks through the door, asks to go to a friend's house to sleepover, and is cleared to go after a 1 minute conversation.

And I just got cleared to sleepover at a friend's a few minutes ago even though I've been asking for 2 days. Wtf.

So, I was expecting a package today by the Postal Service. According to tracking, it made it to the city, then got shipped to a small town by accident. It's now in Boerne, TX (pronounced "Bernie").

While we're at it: Texas pronunciation tip #2: Gruene, TX is pronounced "green."

Texas tip #3: Bexar county, seat of San Antonio, is pronounced "bear."

I don't get ebay sometimes, half the stuff on there is priced for more than it's worth. Why would I buy from you, when I could go right from the source and get it for less, and it'll be brand new.

Looked up the guy offering me a cheap room to stay in. He is a registered sex offender....supposedly he did the offense in 1988 so it's been I long time. I just don't feel comfortable anymore with him offering me all these things out of sympathy. I know people make mistake....I just don't want to make a mistake myself by moving in with people with that record and getting myself into a uncomfortable situation.

I got a reply from another person in a area with more bus stops and its farely cheap. Like $385 a month. I'm gonna see what they say. It's a 4 bedroom house with three other guys.....I posted that I'm gay in the original post so they should all be comfortable with it.

So last December, the phone company that I'm currently tied to decided to make their only location a "Pay with credit card only" location. I don't know why but it's completely inconvenient. I now have to set up a new account at one of my bank's branches and due to my semi-busy life, I haven't been able to do that yet. I received a message this morning saying that I have to pay my bill immediately, even though the bill for this month isn't all that bad. In order to do all this, I have to have the actual bill for this month and I haven't gotten it yet.

I'm not blaming them at all, I know that what they're doing is fair, it's just very stressful. I've saved money in order to pay for the bill but playing the waiting game to set up an account is killing me. I really don't know what to do.

Absolutely don't move in with a sex offender. You're right to be suspicious. You don't know what he could try to do especially if he perceives you as vulnerable. People like that are fucking twisted. :frowning2:

Dude, as someone with four younger sisters, trust me. The oldest is always the guinea pig.

Yeah, I agree with thepandaboss, although for completely different reasons. I wouldn't have many reservations about moving in with a dude that did something 28 years ago but has had a clean record ever since, but your situation is special.

This will be the first time you're gonna be completely on your own, with zero experience on how to live by yourself, in a completely alien environment, with no one to turn to for anything but emotional support; what I'm trying to say is that this is when you'll be at your most vulnerable. If you had previous experience with roommates and/or being financially independent, a network of friends that could help you out in case of an emergency, a steady influx of cash, then it would be another story. As is though, it is not wise of you to take your first steps into an independent life by living with a sex offender. Consider other options.

Your both right, I was really surprised by finding out just by typing their name in. They seemed really nice. Even offered me a bike if I didn't have bus transportation. Funny thing is....I can't ride a bike.

I'm going to keep searching for cheap rooms ^.^

I wish I understood how the hell I learned English and could just apply it to German.

My English teacher told me my English was very good. I use more complicated terms naturally while speaking. I also pronounce well.

In German, I can't write a sentence without breaking the syntax :| I just gave my text for pre correction, and he put lines everywhere. I swear, it's so hard! With Spanish, at least, the syntax is exactly the same as in French, so I don't have to make an effort to do it right.

Damn, sometimes I wonder if I should have went somewhere where they offered Italian instead of German. But, I know I should learn German anyway, so I guess I preferred to have someone teach me the harder one.

So, the guy I sort of like hasa girlfriend. Technically, they're not dating because he's not allowed to date. The reason is because he's a Mormon. Still sad about it. Her name is Celia. Okay, Celia. She's so lucky she doesn't go to the same school otherwise, I'll stare her down.

    Before:

Me: so crowded room, lots of noise, smells, colours, general stimuli in a lunch hall. What should I do?

My mind: panic and be unable to form decent answers when asked what you want to eat because your mind has gone cloudy due to feeling overwhelmed. Also, have your voice go quiet even though you're in a loud environment, even though you're sure you are talking at a loud and decent volume. Order the easiest, simplest thing and get out of there as fast as you can. Start fidgeting and have a hard time staying still. Get in people's way by accident.

Once you find a table to sit at and have your food at the table, begin to eat. Be unable to focus on your food, due to all the other smells around you. Feel like you're eating their food instead of your own, all those overpowering, unpleasant foods you dislike and do not wish to consume. Then try as hard as you can to focus on the food you're actually eating, by being unsocial with your family and trying to ignore the other foods, both visually and their smells from both your own and other tables.

Get distracted by the building's architecture and forget about concentrating on your food. Have all the smells hit you at once. Want to hide in a dark room or toilet somewhere and get some string to twirl about to try and refocus and calm down, or do something similar. Be unable to do that. Remind yourself it's only a family outing, not Bear Grylls survival. You can do this.

Feel stressed and uneasy due to crowdedness, noise, smells and no good reason.

Me: Why? There's no inherent danger. Can't I just have an enjoyable time for once? Why do you do this to me mind?

    Mind: no. Because.

I need to start bringing music with me really, at least that would deal with the noise issue. I've been meaning to really. :eusa_doh:

I really want string right now...

Welp, I just broke the news to my mom. Financially, going back home to Western Michigan isn't going to happen, so I'm going to finish my Associate's degree and move away. I'm still dead set on becoming a flight attendant (though I didn't mention that yet) but I feel like I'm jumping off a cliff. I'm really fucking scared.

I should never be allowed to watch the movie "Titanic" in the company of anyone other than myself. One, I don't give a damn about the love story and can't help but point out how unrealistic it is; two, which is the bigger reason, I know entirely too much about that ship and the lore surrounding her, and I just can't shut myself up.

"That's wrong; that can't happen; hey, they got that right; you know, there's a story behind *insert event here*; those two wouldn't even be allowed on that deck; damn it, James Cameron, that ship was not made of iron..."

This is the only movie I do this at. And I can't stop myself. :roflmao:

Going to get my hair cut soon, hopefully tonight. FINALLY getting a deathhawk like I've been wanting to since I was twelve.
It's going to be blue, eventually. Or red. Or green.
    Or a rainbow.
No matter what, I'm finally hacking off this shaggy mess.

And then drawing things on the shaved sides of my head like Boy George.

Another thing I like about this is that it's giving me an opportunity to come out to my father about my genderfluidity. He keeps going on and on about how I "need to be careful" about how short the sides are, because having them too short will "take away my femininity".

    Oh father.

    I really don't give a shit.
