My thoughts are with the families and friends of the victims of the heinous attacks of 9/11. I know I will never forget that horrific day, and nor will I forget the bravery of the first responders who risked, and in many cases gave, their lives trying to aid those in the towers.

I mean, even when I'm working my boyfriend freaking gets mad if I don't text or call every five minutes... So then it just makes me not want to talk half the time...

Reminds me of my first clingy girlfriend. She "broke up" with me a few hours after I got home, and that pretty much set the course for the next few weeks. Ah, well: lesson learned, right?

My back is a mess and my knees were screaming after being on my feet for three hours straight, but tomorrow is game day in Ann Arbor and I'll fight through the pain if I have to. Hail to the victors!

I mean, we decided (mostly me, I hate to say it) to take time off for a while. Not to see other people but mainly because my health was a mess, his mother was crazy and abusive towards me. But it was like this even before that, when we were living together and hell, even before then. I feel like I can't even read a book, go out of the house, or see a friend without him getting jealous or wanting attention. And I just want to say, I'm not going off to Canada. I just want to be able to take five minutes without being glued to my phone...

I think we either ignore or are oblivious to our partner's flaws when we're in that love-stricken phase, but once it wears off, then we have to fight to make the relationship work. It feels like a lot of people these days are too selfish and, especially since it's not a necessity like the old days, and the climbing divorce rates... *shrugs*

When someone doesn't have much going on for themselves, they rely on others to validate them. I've noticed this pattern between myself and friends/acquaintances. Once I get lost in something, say, exploring town or getting lost in a book, the rest of the world disappears. That's called "living life".

I don't even listen to U2 but I can't hear nor read the words "with or without you" without playing the song in my head.

Hearing stories of who racist other countries/people from the past are/were at school is always interesting.

Complaints of blacks hating the rebel flag and putting whites in slavery ( -_- that may have happened, but whites have killed and/or abused more people than any other race) from people who hate Mexicans for being Mexican, and say troops should be placed every ten feet on the Mexican border in order to shoot every Mexican in sight...

Stories of "Yankees" and Muslims being sexist from someone that tells girls who have never worn pants good job, and implied that I was gay for having longer fingernails than them.

Layover in Las Vegas on my way to California and I won $8 on the slot machines in the terminal!

But then I realize this is the closest thing to income I've had in a couple months

I just got home from work and that means my time in my current role is officially over. I start my new position on Monday after what will be a very short weekend and that's frightening. It scares me now. Going to go running tonight and hopefully I can work the anxiety out.

Sometimes I don't know why I bother trying when it's quite clear things will never work the same for me as they do other people. I really should have learned that lesson by now.

    I'm getting...

    Lazy.

I jog more than I run. I'm settling...

But the typing wears me down. Well, did. And the paperwork... the government's weekly sheets of fun, LOL.

The government wants to know two things:

Do you have access to wealth?
How will we pick up this wealth?

Your name and favorite pizza topping are irrelevant.

I have work in about 5 hours. Summer is ending, I can see it in the lack of children's books that need to be picked up and replaced, LOL. Really all there is to do now is take down decorations, slap stickers on spines, put books up, maybe show an elderly man how to log into the computer. Definitely read. I love that I can read on the job... it's also amusing to see which books go out and which come back in, so it's a bonus perk.

And I'll never get tired of seeing people's reactions to, "May I check you out?"... it's an automatic ice breaker, if I want it to be. I really do check those books out to you, and we are encouraged to 'check out a customer with respect and efficiency', according to the handbook.

It's handbook official. I am paid to check people out, LOL.

    Today's agenda:

    - Eat.
    - Work.
    - Jog Run.
    - Crack a joke.
    - Get a smile.
    - Meet my soul mate.
    - Save the motherfuckin' day.
    - Go to bed a winner.
    - Wake up in a cuddling embrace and the smell of pancakes.
