I completely see the moderate side of things.

I suppose what I find particularly off-putting about terms such as sjw, feminazi, etc, is the underlining mindset behind it. Regardless of whether you are consciously meaning to or not, you are inherently aligning yourself with all on the spectrum of opponents to that cause. These words are used as pejoratives despite not really being things that should be seen as shameful fundamentally and wouldn't be seen as shameful without social stigma.

I can imagine why they are used; I just find it odd that they have grown so popular. We interpret "racist/sexist/bigot" as an insult because we all like to believe that we are good people. But to consider yourself a supporter of social justice or feminism and call others "social justice warriors" or "feminazi"s as alleged insults seems like faulty reasoning. You are either not genuinely a support or you are unconsciously stigmatizing the social ideals that you actually support by using such terms. These are words that were fundamentally created to stigmatize all aspects of these social causes entirely.

But I suppose they would be considered slang and when has slang ever truly made sense...

So, we have a kind of family reunion every summer. Buddha, i could go on forever about the crap i heard down there but there was one topic that drove me nuts. My uncle was going off on Jenner calling her a freak. I had to look stare forward and contain myself, It pissed me off so bad. I swear when I'm out on my own, I'll tell him what's what. I just need patience. I'll tell my family my disgust with how I was raised. I'm so conflicted, I love them but I think they're monsters.

RIP Intuos tablet. I thought I could fix whatever was up, but there were no obvious issues, and you didn't turn on anyway. You lived a great, but short life.

Now, if I could find the pen to my BAMBOO...

Okay, so watching Pee-wee's Playhouse... Here's a Penny cartoon. It's all well and fine until the titular Penny goes on a monologue about a friend of hers and is all "Mah friend likes to try to kill himself. Isn't he funny?"

WHOA, Penny. What the hell's up with the Penny cartoons? Were they just filming and later animating the unmedicated ramblings of an eight year old sociopathic little girl? I mean, damn. That's messed up.

Today was my first day on campus without my parents, and it was absolutely fun. I also ended up walking 21 miles according to my phone, and my legs are beyond feeling pain and they're just numb. It'll be worth it though if it means getting into shape. This year is going to be a blast.

Feeling nervous about going to uni.. I'm scared I'll be too stupid, or that I won't get any friends. If I don't find any friends I'll be so alone, cause I don't know anyone here.

    Fuck shyness.

Why do so many people not grasp how horrifying it is when they refuse to acknowledge the gender (and to a lesser extent, sexual) identity of people they dislike?

Not only does it make them seem very untrustworthy and lacking morality and respect, it's also just such a ridiculous evasion (or perhaps, in the worse cases, an admission) of why you actually dislike them.

A trans person is never to be denied acknowledgement of their gender, no matter how much you dislike them. That you think it's acceptable to hold such an integral part of someone's personality under the threat of withdrawal, on condition of whether you like them or not, is really one of the surest ways to make trans people feel unsafe and unwelcome. It tells them that you don't really take their gender seriously. It tells them that you think you have a right to play with their identity. It tells them that their place in society and respect accorded to them are contingent upon your whims and feelings.

    It really must stop.

I'm going to a concert on Saturday and I'm sooooo excited! At the same time I'm a bit nervous because school starts in a few days and it's my last year in school.
