Finally work is over for the day...partied a bit too hard last night and was definitely feeling out of it all day...I get lovely glassy eyes after a bender so it was pretty obvious I was in Struggletown..my eyes were probably more glaze than a Krispy Kreme donut....

Totally shouldn't be rinsing and repeating last night but it could be another late one...but first I think I'm gonna head for a sauna to relax after a seemingly endless day.

Came out to my mother. Biggest mistake ever. Now all she talks about is how I'm going through a phase, and how parents always know best, and blahblahblah. So annoying. And she blames media and literature, so I can expect my books to be thrown out and the devices I use confiscated or password protected now. *sigh* I think this experience just showed me how much I don't care nor need my parents' approval, because I've come to realize that I'll never get it; everything I talk about becomes a problem they just have to try and fix, even when this "problem" isn't a problem at all.

I knew that when I bought a packet of pineapple pieces from the £1 shop they might not be the best quality but bloody hell these look like freeze-dried zombies.

Why am I watching The Hunger Games: Catching Fire for a second time, on my own free will, when I didn't like it the first time I watched it?

There is nothing that I find more off-putting than people who claim that something doesn't make sense but do not acknowledge explanations when they are provided. If you would rather stay ignorant of a concept, then that is your right. If you will forever deny the existence of a concept, then that is also your right. Don't waste time asking people to explain something to you that you have no intention of entertaining. After someone has taken the time to explain a phenomenon, a view, etc, acknowledge it. Agree with it or disagree and explain why. That is how you have an intelligent conversation.

This extends to scientific concepts, social concepts, etc.
