There is a large chance I am overreacting, but does anyone else get pissed off when people use "trans" or "transgender" as a noun?

I am not a trans, I am trans.
I am not a transgender, I am transgender.

This is, essentially, saying something like "a gay" or "a black", which is rarely used in a positive way.

The only thing I can think of is things that end in -sexual. Homosexual, bisexual, heterosexual, and, yes, transsexual. But there are still a lot of negative connotations to both homosexual and transsexual. I don't know about bisexual.

So I wrote down things on a piece of paper that I intend to bring to my therapist (you know, just randomly) - I kinda want to lock myself in a room with one until they get solved...:

- I don't know how to talk to people I'm interested by/attracted to. (those are different, by the way)

- I don't know how to join groups of people/ask people if they want to hang out without feeling awkward.

-These things make me feel depressed and dejected - What do I do?

Ironically, these are the things that precisely won't get solved unless you get out of your room.

I have these problems too, and honestly, whenever I try, I feel like really stupid or they don't hear me/ignore me. If this happens to you, I recommend you listen to what they say - do they talk about something that interests you, too? Try to jump in with a comment.

One of my newest friends watches Axis Powers Hetalia - and so do I. So when I saw her drawings of the characters, I just said, "England!" and she looked at me all shocked and said, "Wait, you watch Hetalia?" and that was the beginning of our friendship, sorta. She talks to me every day now, at least.
