I think someone just tried to rob me. I got asked for change, and then another guy seemed to go for my wallet. They didn't get it, but I'm feeling somewhat suspicious.

 

Ugh. My local paper ran an article on their Facebook page about an assistant coach who'd molested one of his players. One of the girl's classmates commented "oh there's no case. She was just too dumb to get out of that situation." I admit that I kinda wanted to slap her.

 

I'm kind of annoyed with myself for agreeing to do this work on my vacation. Extra money is always nice, but it's my last day and there are things I'd rather be doing, including writing two long posts on here.

 

I don't think this Bills/Browns game can get any more boring.

....and the Bills just converted a 4th down and scored a touchdown!

So I spent the whole day studying and I'm still not done. F*ck my life.

 

Sunday evenings........ Dam I need a new job.

 

Depression sucks. I have so much to do and I can't even bring myself to get out of bed. I hate everything.

Finally got a new laptop, but using the latest Windows layout which I'm not liking at all.... :eusa_doh:

Windows 8? You can downgrade to 7, but I'm not sure how to go about that.

Psych. and Rhetoric final scores posted online today; 94% and 86%, respectively. Yehaw. I knew I'd do well on the former, but I like the confirmation... now onto cognitive psychology for the summer semester!

 

Neither do I. Might try it in the future, but for now I've managed to reconnect with my Skype account and install Firefox as my browser, so that's a start, at least. Now I'm hoping to use the latter while browsing online at the same time [since opening Skype seems to take up the whole window...]

Windows 8 is the best Mac advertisement ever. And I say this as a guy who uses Windows 8 and doesn't plan on downgrading on this laptop. It kinda makes me miss Vista, honestly. The problem with Windows 8 is that it's definitely a one-size-fits all system. Microsoft wanted to have a universal platform for tablets, phones, and their laptops but didn't think that the OS that would work wonderfully on a tablet or phone (the tiles and apps), wouldn't exactly translate well to a touch screen unfriendly laptop or desktop.

 

How long have you been using W8 and how've you managed to put up with it? :eek:

 

If you have the original key of a windows 7 copy (like from your old computer or whatever), you can download the iso from microsoft. Then just go to the bios, change whatever you need there and boot up from your dvd or usb. Erase everything and reinstall your windows 7. Done. You don't need to suffer that windows 8 crap. Even companies buying new pcs are downgrading.
Downgrade or try Linux.
