I now feel like I'm burning up after telling an internet friend that I don't know that well that I'm jealous of a someone they know who got a boyfriend.
I don't know why, they're a really nice person who I swear I came out to weeks ago.
They're also apparently a mormon but were still accepting. Maybe it's just internalized distrust or something...

Today is the one year anniversary of the day I was sent to the hospital because of a suicide attempt. Unfortunately, very little has changed since then.

Illegal literature in Australia isn't hard to come by; the government doesn't come crashing down on illegal media unless it's commercial fraud or child pornography or the like.

The Painted Bird, by Jerzy Kosinski. It may not actually be illegal, but I can find no evidence of the ban being lifted. I checked the public libraries of major cities and it wasn't listed and quite a few bookstores had it as "not available". I found a second hand copy available fairly easily, but the price was insane.

 

I've got a membership to the Trove system, which is an online database that logs every book published or publicly available in Australia. It's there, in 31 major libraries at least. So I'm not sure if it's banned. :lol:
