As you are here in the Welcome Lounge, perhaps you would like to introduce yourself to the community, or explain what has lead you to create an account on Empty Closets. The next forum below the Welcome Lounge you will see is the EC Monthly Spotlight. Every month, the staff team will choose a new topic for the community to discuss. If you have a topic idea, please send us your suggestions to the Ask the Staff forum! Next are the General Chat forums, which include Chit Chat, Fun & Games, Entertainment and Technology, and Current Events, World News, and LGBT News. Each of these categories consists of general topics that you can kick back and engage in discussion among other users from the community. Next are the Support Forums. These include Coming Out Advice, LGBT Later in Life, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity & Expression, Family, Friends, and Relationships, For Parents and Family Members of LGBT People, Physical and Sexual Health, General Support and Advice, and Anonymous Support and Advice. If you are looking for advice regarding any of these topics, please post in the dedicated forum to receive peer support from our members. You may also use the Anonymous posting feature if you are uncomfortable posting under your own account. Next is the Empty Closets Stuff. Here you will find Empty Closets Help and Feedback, and the Ask the Staff forums. If you are wondering about anything on the forums, whether that be a suggestion or a feature, you may use the Help and Feedback forum for clarification from the community. The Ask the Staff forum is a place for private discussions between you and the staff, whether it’s a moderation concern or member concern, these can be posted here. Finally, once you have been a member for at least two weeks and have made at least 50 posts to the forums, you will be eligible to apply for Full Membership under the Full Membership Application tab. Full Members receive additional perks such as access to the Chat Room and access to Personal Messages (PMs). If you need additional support or advice, we also have trusted staff members you are able to message regardless of regular or full membership status in the Individual Support thread.
