I remember Gone Home causing me to tear up. It's probably the only game to do so, and mostly because it was so story driven. Something about the way you find out what happened and how the sister's struggle kinda reminds me of my own. I guess it's hard to explain if you haven't played/watched it :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Journey made me tear up at the ending - it was just so tragic, after everything.

I think playing Okami for the first time made me cry, it was just such a beautiful game. I don't think I finished the game, I just enjoyed running around. Then I played it on an HD tv and Oh. My. God. It was like playing the game for the first time.

The last game I remember is Life is Strange. I cried a lot, especially in Episode 3, where Max visits Chloe at the end of the episode. And the ending of episode 5 made me cry like a baby.

I played through when it first came out (haven't bothered with the Remaster), and guh. It is something you experience, not a game you feel good about once you are done. After I finished, I felt like I needed something to cleanse my palette, so I moved onto...

Yup, I played this immediately after Last of Us (as in, the same day I finished it). But here's the thing, the concept I actually felt was very cathartic. And I didn't think it was tragic, as it was actually hopeful the way I interpreted it. I still broke down, but it was a lot different than under the weight of the tragedy of it.

Jebus yes. So many points where I couldn't really hold onto myself. The end of Episode 2 (I lived with my failure rather than replay it), various moments throughout 3, 4, and 5, as well as the ending. It was harsh.

I haven't cried at a video game before, but I have came close. I nearly cried playing Life is Strange and Beyond: Two Souls.

nearly at life is strange, she had the life ive always wanted and i really felt apart of it so every twist and turn affected me. she has friends, sort of fits in, an identity, had the normal high school experience, had a deeply connected childhood friend ( it was the kind of friendship ive been wanting to have all my life, but never gotten), has a passion for life and a good hobby. what more could i possibly want in life?, there you go.

I cried when I finished playing the Last of Us. I can't remember if it was because of a sad ending or because I didn't really want the video game to end.

Undertale, after the final boss and while we're looking at the sunset. Not the final boss, not hugging Asriel. Looking at the beautiful sunset, the piano playing in the background, going home with the loving mother Toriel, the long journey over. I'm tearing up just writing this, and I've played the TP route at least three times by now.

Aww dude, I just replayed it with my brother and I totally cried again. It's not my favorite out of the first three, but it's definitely the most tearjerking.

    lol

The older Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games; Blue Rescue Team and Explorers of Time.

Honestly, the main games seem to lack a bit in story depth, these on the other hand... Holy cow. Don't judge me.
