Hi, I see many of the definitions of Urban Dictionary is weird. Just wanted to ask some English speakers to explain more about it and its definitions. How many percent of the definitions are just for "kidding"/"trolling"? Anyways, What do you think about the dictionary?
The vast majority of everything posted on Urban Dictionary is trolling or made up. Usually the first definition will be more or less correct, and all the ones after it are fake. I think it's hilarious to read the crazy definitions some people post for things, but I wouldn't consider anything from that website reliable. It was originally supposed to be an actual dictionary for slang terms not found in the real dictionary, but then people didn't take it seriously and ruined it with all the fake stuff.
Urban dictionary has helped me figure out a few sayings. I know it was correct because it fit the context of the situation. You may be better off with English as a Second Language sites though.
