Hi everybody,

Apologies for the delay with getting this process re-opened. I just wanted to let you know that the vast majority of the work is now done, and we're currently trying to solve one final issue before the new form can go live.

The feature that we're using for the new form has been used elsewhere for other forms (staff apps etc), so the transition was expected to be rather smooth given its past performance. Unfortunately, we've since identified an unexpected technical issue, which is affecting the layout display of submitted applications.

I'm not entirely sure how long it will take for the bug to be fixed, but if it becomes apparent that it isn't going to be easily resolved then temporary workarounds can be put in place to allow the form to open sooner rather than later. It may just have to go down again for a short period of time in future once we (hopefully) have a permanent solution in place.

We're working on it over the weekend, and we should have an update for you all soon. At this point, we're looking at it being opened in a matter of days, rather than weeks.

Yep, we don't have any specific criteria for what constitutes an 'important' post. The only change we've made in this regard is when we deactivated post count in Fun & Games, as counting threads etc really don't help in any way with understanding somebody's general posting history. Beyond that, however, it's fairly broad and flexible. If it's 50 counted posts (i.e. contributes to the post count in your little postbit) across numerous forums, you're eligible and will be reviewed accordingly. Just as long as it's not 50 1-word posts then those 50+ posts should be fine.

I'm happy to report that the new full membership form will be opening once again from tomorrow (Tuesday 20th January). We're currently doing the last few checks to ensure everything is working as it should, so the form will be made live for applicants once we have completed this.

If you're a Regular Member, you can locate it at any time within the 'Empty Closets Stuff' category on the main forum page. It is just above this forum.

If anybody encounters any issues with the form, please post in Ask The Staff.
