A gamer on twitch is raising money for Mermaids charity by playing Donkey Kong non stop. So far the stream has been going for 45 hours and has raised over £165000. It's just so great to see so much positivity in light of the amount of hate directed towards trans people recently.
I know this was a while ago but I loooved this story about hbomberguy (his YouTube channel name, not his real name ofc). I'd heard of Mermaids for years but they're getting so much negative press lately from people who only just heard they're a thing. I think he ended up raising more than $300,000?
