LGBT News Trump will give healthcare workers the right to refuse to treat LGBT people

I'm going to be honest, if a doctor discriminates against someone because of religious beliefs, they shouldn't be a doctor at all, because a doctor helps everyone even criminals, yes if someone gets injured in a firefight by a bullet and are captured usually a doctor looks after them and does work on them, and if the US has passed this, I suggest all doctors who are reasonable basically renounce the doctors that do discriminate against people because of sexuality and record that the doctor is no longer a doctor because they have done something no doctor should do which is discriminate against a patient.

 

Trump is homophobic, or is he? Maybe he's just acting that way because his base is homophobic as hell. Either way, he won't help the LGBT community.

 

This is gonna be John Q all over again.

 

Our country has survived many issues, the great depression and famine of the 20's, two world wars, civil rights, Viet Nam and the Kent State riots, we WILL survive Trump. If a doctor doesn't want to treat you, screw them there will be another that will.

Sadly, that's not true for the vast majority of people.

Even on this thread someone explained that the doctors that their insurance covered were all shitty doctors when it came to LGBT stuff.

So if you live in a small town, if your insurance doesn't cover the right doctor or if the only doctor that will see you is hours away then you are in trouble.

 

The majority of people in this country have access to more than one doctor. In every instance there will always be someone that doesn't have access to something. Some people will have to travel... I live in a very small town, I have to travel. That's just the way it is...

 

Agree with all of the above. Thanks Dean. (love that "farmer" thinking. Hysteria which has it's roots in the very core our us human's being, is "fear" and is very hard to control. Fear is one of five basic psychological states - anger, fear, shame, sadness, joy, This is why fear is so powerful.

Fear of not being able to find an LGBT friendly doctor. It's not logical to think this it's a basic feeling and this is why it's so powerful.
