The only thing I don't like about this is the way they said "Diane Schroer won her federal lawsuit against the Library of Congress after officials backed out of a 2005 job offer when told of her intention to become a transsexual."
oh well, the rest is good.

Yeah, it's near the level of "she turned him gay", but the overall tone of the article is good. It's hard to trust people to give an accurate description of something they're not personally connected to. I can't fault the writer too much.

i think its probably just misinformation, much like many pro gay writers still say "gay lifestyle". Its annoying, but at least its positive

"Lifestyle" will never be a positive word for me, in any sense, but I can see what you mean.

Woot for the Victory, but I agree that Lifestyle implies too much stereotype for my liking too.

Look at it this way, at least this isn't in the hands of Faux news.

It's possible, like Noah said, that if the article is mostly positive, then the writer might've just phrased it incorrectly, and meant "transitioning from one gender to the other." I could imagine that many people are lost when trying to say the right things to a transgender person, despite trying to be respectful.
