8 whole notes...so imagine I sing along to a song and it is in tune, right?

Then I go up a note, and suddenly my singing sounds wrong! (Think bad karaoke). If I go up 8 of them I reach a new octave and my singing is in tune again!

    You've already lost me.
    I don't really understand notes, I know they're like A, A sharp, A minor, etc.
    But that's about it.

If I had to guess I'd say it was because your posts seem to pop up in the middle of existing conversation chains and they get missed by accident...

    Case in point, this post:

Appeared in the middle of an existing chain about voice training, and I know I missed it initially because I was focussed on talking to Mia! Wasn't intentional, just an unfortunate side-effect of the thread.

We have several threads that work this way, where lots of people post lots of different things at different times, and it's like trying to start 50 conversations with 50 different people all at once, sometimes things get missed!!

Please don't think we do it on purpose.

As for that particular post, I'm thrilled to hear that you are happy, and I'm sorry it got glossed over! (*hug*)

(Something to consider - if you've got something that you think warrants specific input, like you have questions or something make new threads, because those will get seen easier!)

I'm feeling awesome but i am a little nervous. Last night before i went to bed i was getting to urge to masturbate but i didn't give in. I haven't done that in 6 days, I really hate doing that and finally today i get to go to the fertility clinic to drop off the sperm to freeze it. I'm nervous as hell and i hope things go well for me today. As soon as i can get this over with i'll be happy because this is that last things I need before i can begin my transition. When it comes to my self-esteem i haven't felt this great in a long time.

Whenever I have really cynical, negative thoughts (something I've done with great frequency since reaching adulthood), I've always exacerbated the problem by vocalizing them out loud to myself. As my GT pointed out, when you do this and your ears hear these thoughts vocalized, it more or less creates an additional layer of reinforcement of these thoughts and perpetuates a cycle of negativity. As I posted about earlier in the thread, I am determined to make a go of new, positive habits as a part of my transition, while shedding the negative ones. I will always have cynical, negative thoughts, probably. (They're so much a part of me, not sure I could ever stop thinking them.) However, at this point, I have at least made a pact with myself to stop vocalizing them. From now on, only positive thoughts deserve that kind of reinforcement.

Don't be afraid Audrey! There's nothing to fear. I know it's hard but be positive. You must embrace the good and bad at times.

Worried that when the time comes hrt won't girl-ify enough. I posted dude pics in my profiley thing and hmm. I've had some friends say, "but you're a good looking guy why mess with your body?"

They know the inside doesn't match and are supportive, but I guess I just hope that a trach shave and possible brow reduction will be enough. I'd rather not hack up my mug for a teacup if I can get by.

I guess angled choppy bangs help with the forehead but I don't own a wig yet to see for sure.

Your optimism is infectious, Monika. Please keep the positive comments coming.

    Thanks, Mia!

Protege, I seem to be at exactly the stage you are at right now. I do know I want a limited amount of FFS. My GT recommended a nose job and upper lip shortening for myself. Also gonna do trach shave, and, quite likely, cheekbones and jaw reshaping.

I'm not as worried about getting noticeable results from E since what Gates posted about potential results and your close female relatives.
