Hello all....I was just replying to a post on another thread and realized that there is something that I have never really put out there that I really need to say.

To my precious, dear, wonderful LGBTQ family....thank you so much for just being who you are. Thank you for existing. Thank you to all the people who have struggled all their lives to find out who they are. Thank you to everyone who is growing up right now knowing who you are from your childhood and accepting yourself from your first realization that you were not straight. Thank you to every gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning, non-binary, asexual, (and any that I missed) and thank you to all the straight allies who have stood up for equality. I spent many, many years hating myself and thinking that I did not and would never belong anywhere. With you help...all of you... with the help of empty closets, that saved my life, I now know that I belong. I have a family. I love you all. Thank you.

I'm moved. Thanks for that post David. What's happening here on Empty Closets is not only good, it's important.
