    There are no rules about this. Most of the people on this sub-forum seem to be 30+ and it goes up from there. It's whatever someone feels makes them a more mature member. These same people also post on the other sub-forums, so that's good.

    It can be that you know some IRL people later in life, have EC friends in later in life, or just have a feel for what later in life people are going through and want to join the conversation.

    "Later in Life" was created and is intended primarily for people who come to terms with being something other than straight a little later than most other people. That can mean mid-to-late 20s or 70s or pretty much anything else. The focus of discussion tends to be on issues that later-in-life folks have to deal with... dealing with kids and spouses, telling elderly family members, that sort of thing.

    That said, there's no restriction as to who can post in this (or any other) forum on EC.
