This isn't bad, but it just surprised me.

My friend and I got in a conversation about our old schools, and somehow we ended up talking about previous experiences and how I used to get teased and bullied.

My friend: So wait, they were like that to you because you were gay? You mean people still bully people because of them being gay? That's a thing that happens still?

...It's times like this I realise how sheltered some people can be.

Turns out his school was quite progressive that he went to.

I was talking about how when I first found out I was gay with my friends. I was saying how in my mind I was weighing the pros and cons of coming out. They then asked "what are the cons of being gay?" I was a bit shocked by this question, and then realized that they must not know what little things we have to go through every day just because of our sexuality. Then they went on talking and they said "What are the cons of being straight?" I could not believe my ears, I wanted to go on a hour long rant, but instead I kept my mouth shut. I just couldn't believe they had the audacity to say a thing as ignorant as that. I guess sometimes you don't know people as well as you thought you did.

I don't agree with gays but I don't hate you for it just like I don't agree with burglars but I don't hate them.

My mom: "Is the reason you're gay because you worry about getting a girl pregnant?"
Also "I know gay men wear dresses but I'm glad you're not into that."

My younger sister: "I think it's great that you were able to come out but what do you want me to do concerning it? What are my responsibilities?"

It's nice they are supportive but... I dunno.

Someone I met once: You don't want a boyfriend? Laaame

    ---------- Post added 20th Jan 2017 at 04:27 PM ----------

First time I ever implied to someone out loud that I may have feelings for women.
    Me: I might be bi...
Other person: I think I should stay away from you then... *backs away slowly*.
    Me: *hurt* ...Kidding?

    That literally happened, twice.

"are you planning on getting... y'know..... The Surgery?" 1.) for me to fully transition, i would need multiple surgeries, not just one. 2.) it's non of your freaking business anyway whether i am or not:dry:

"are you sure you're not a lesbian?" im not a girl, so yeah, not a lesbian.

"it's not my fault i keep calling you a girl! you look like one and i'm just used to calling you one. just deal with it. it's not even that big of a deal" this makes me furious. it would be MUCH easier for you to get my pronouns right if you would actually try you lazy bag of dirt. it literally is not that difficult at all. also, it IS a big deal. this is my identity. its part of who i am, and you're disrespecting it. you're disrespecting me.:***:

"so you're a boy trapped in a girls body?" no. i am a boy, which means that this IS a boys body. it's my body, i'm a boy, so it's a boys body. boobs and all. the only thing im trapped in is the fear of likely harassment:help:

"so, what's in your pants?" a fist to punch your nasty face you freaking pervert:thumbsup:

    Me: Why?
    Mom: Well *stalls*
Me: I want to hear it why?
Mom: Well remember a few weeks ago when you wanted to go to the bar with your sister but you could not and you were really upset?
Me: Mom that was because of my disabilities. I have a severe noise sensitivity and can not drink because of my medication.
Mom: Oh well I disagree. I think it proves you really are a girl.

I can't believe they tell you to just deal with it. I mean if they keep messing up, like, oops, but they should at least try to get it right.

    The ultimate guide to being a lesbian (according to some of the comments my friends have said);

    - Dislike all gay men.

    - Do not show any appreciation of famous people who are gay or bi men.

    - Feel distant from the LGBT community, and wish you weren't a part of it.

    -Hate the gay community.

I just....what? Some of the things people have asked me and the stereotypes I get a rather odd. Like if I say I enjoy a musician's music and they happen to be a gay man I usually get comments like "but don't all lesbians hate all gay men and wish they weren't associated with the gay community at all?" :/

"You can go for anyone you like you are a bisexual"
"Bi-sexual isn't a real thing you either like a guy or a girl"

my reaction the the first one is:
"That's easy for you to say"

and my question to the second one is:
"Then what does the B stand for"

Friend: What if when you finally come out, your parents make you a rainbow cake that says "we know"?

:roflmao: I would laugh so hard if my parents actually did that, but I highly doubt that would happen. XD

Also, when I come out- I often get this response from people:

"I bet you just loved the PE changing rooms. *nudge* *nudge* *wink* *wink*"

Yep, a hole to swallow me into the ground would be nice around about now.

A more or less typical trans*boys problem

This took place in 2016 I guess, but I'm not quite sure
Mom: Do you got problems with being a girl?
    Me: Y-yes
Mom: I don't believe this is really a thing (being trans*). In my opinion this is something like being hardcore-lesbian, you just want to be the male part in the relationship.
(Random Information: I never came out as a lesbian to my family. I came out as bisexual on my 15th birthday but because I had a girlfriend at that time my parents came to the conclusion that I had to be homosexual.
Random Information number two: after I broke of with my girlfriend, my mom was the first who asked if I did it because I'm straight again)

Straight friend: You know how there were several gay people at your school...

    Me: Um, yeah...why?

Straight friend: If your school was so homophobic, why were there so many gay people in it?

    Me: :eusa_doh:
