It is so terrible what is going on in Myanmar with the the ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya. I just did a casual search on the internet and what I found made me absolutely sick to my stomach. It is horrifying that something like this could happen in this day and age.

Men, women and children being burned alive and thrown in to fires. God help those who survived the massacre. I cannot post the pictures here because they are too graphic.

I've read some stuff about this a while ago, and yeah, it's horrible. One very shocking thing about it is, that there's a person with Nobel prize for peace who actually tried to defend this stuff. So either she does not deserve it anymore, or I'm missing something.

Yes, I read that too. It just shows how politics can make some people heartless.

The Nobel peace prize is rather meaningless these days. It's used more as a "feel good" thing than a real award. Politics aside, I find it rather ironic that they gave Barack Obama a Nobel peace prize while he was in the middle of carrying out an 8 year long bombing campaign against middle eastern countries. There were most likely attacks he approved going on during the actual ceremony where they gave it to him for being so "peaceful."

He even admitted the strangeness himself in his speech by saying "perhaps the most profound issue surrounding my receipt of this prize is the fact that I am the Commander-in-Chief of the military of a nation in the midst of two wars."

Aung San Suu Kyi is complicit in genocide. The West made a saint of her, and is now surprised she is no saint but a politician, and one who has been behaving much the same as other leaders of Myanmar, a nation with such a bloody history.
