So...Today.... I got a letter. A letter from a certain special place of my interest. A certain foundation that would be quite useful for my future. Okay, I'll stop beating around the bush... :thewave: I GOT ACCEPTED! :music: :thewave: If I choose to accept their offer (a scholarship of 2,500...1000 the first year!!!) then I will be attending Brock University in the fall. Which is like 3 hours away from Lameunhomosexualville (where I live) and right next to Toronto (kinda) where not only do they host the Toronto Film Festival but also they have a gayborhood. YEAA! Now Brock has only given me till Janurary 15th to accept (which according to my brothers can't be right)..and I'm still thinking about attending York in Toronto...xept they haven't sent me any feedback yet...so if I don't get anything from York...and if they are like, "Welcome...Scholarship? For you? Haahahahhaa." Then I'll be like, "Eff you guys then" Then there is Carleton in Ottawa who's like, "Come to our school." and I'm like, "No way dude." Anyways, I've been accepted to my first school, and not only are they giving me 2,500 dollars over 4 years, it also happens to be a smaller school and nicer campus then what York would give me. York is a BIG school. and the only reason I want to go their so bad is because thier film program is directly connected to the film festival. But that's their FILM and PRODUCTION program which I can't attend without having a film studies degree under my belt. Except for if I went to York it'd be alot easier to go from their film studies program to their Film Production program. But whatever. York is also in Toronto and if I live in Toronto my friends all think I am more then likely to get stabbed. Really it's Toronto will give me the education I'll need, but Brock will give me the education and most likely a better university expierence. Still though...What does York have to say? -_- I'm so wishy washy right now. FYI: As I was running through my house screaming in delight I slipped and hit the back of my head against a couch. Then my brother goes, "Hahaha that would be funny. In the newspaper: Prosepective Student breaks neck on the day of his acceptance." Ya...Really funny. GOD! I can't wait for university and that day where I post, "So I got a boyfriend." *giggles* (*hug*)
:roflmao: :tears: :roflmao: that is 2 funny i laugh for a bit on that but congrats on getting accpeted
Hurray and congrats! (!) Whatever school you decide to pick (and no, I'm not helping with that decision. I screwed up my own already, thank you very much!), I'm sure you'll have a great time no matter what. *wishes he could start a "so I got a boyfriend" thread too :tears: *
woo congrats phil, i stil ahve 2 hear back from my uni's but i shud be accepted into the ones i wanted to, i have the grades =]
OK we knew you had a sense of humor. Now we know your brother has a sense of humor. What are your parents like? :roflmao: Congratulations Phil! That is exciting news!
Hooray! Congratulations, Phil!! That's fantastic news!! I think you're going to enjoy your university experience no matter where you go, Brock or York. Just so long as you get out of "Lameunhomosexualville" lol. FYI: The deadline you have to accept your university offer, 15th January, is when my university offer comes out
Thank you I'm trying to think of a song but the only lyrics I know of it are FREEDDDOOOMMM FREEDDDOOOM FREEEEDDOOOOMM!! ...IT's like cheering...I think it's the Guess Who...but I'm probobly wrong.
Congrats! =D I don't really get the university system in america, but scholarships are always good. =)
EXCUSE ME!? AMERICA? THIS IS CANADA!!!!!! Besides down to the south they have college's not universities. Well we have colleges too but they are more for like learning a trade.
Hey! Congrats! That's great news. Brock does have a nice campus, but it's a little removed from civilization... York is technically in Toronto, but on the edge. Handy to downtown though, so that is good. And no - you're not particularly likely to get stabbed by going to York! I'm a York grad, and have no regrets about going there. I went through the business program, which is also very good at York. I made my best friends there, and received a full tuition scholarship as well. So hopefully you'll get some good news from them too! All the best though, whichever one you choose!
Well done & congrats. I'm not familiar with the Canadian system but getting an acceptance letter is GREAT no matter what the system!! Enjoy..:eusa_clap
