When I woke up yesterday morning and saw my twitter feed explode with rainbows, my heart skipped a beat, I couldn't have been more happier. But when I saw the picture of the White House lit up with those colors, I actually started crying. Like, words can't describe what I felt when I saw that image. It was just so surreal.

I only realized that I felt the same towards women as I do towards men recently, and I realized only after questioning myself yesterday that I would want a wife more than a husband. I'm kind of guilty that I wasn't able to help other people realize that homosexual couples have just the same right to marriage as heterosexual couples; I almost wish I was born earlier as that I could stand with others on this issue. For all the people who worked so hard to remove gay marriage bans I have a sincere thank you. I cannot say how grateful I am that I can marry a woman if I find one that I love in the future.

I haven't posted here in a couple months, but I definitely had to pop in and say

    YIPPEE---!!!!

I live in one of those states that would have been dead last to come around had it been left up to them to decide.

A few years ago, I thought ''The US will never legalize it completely in my life-time''. How dead wrong I was! A few states allowing quickly turned turned to about 30 states, and now, all of them.

I wonder how Texas, Arizona and those other southern states will react :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

No words can describe how happy that map of the world makes me feel. That is so awesome =) More and more countries are legalizing same sex marriage every year. It's like a domino effect.

The events of this week relating to the LGBTQA+ community will one day be in history books. I am so honored and grateful to have lived in this great time in my nations history. This marks the happiest moments of my life thus far. Both yesterday and today (and I suspect for quite some time) I have burst into emotional tears of pure joy and pride many times.

I came out to everyone in my life this year. That was a special experience in and of itself. One I won't forget. But little did I know I would be 30, out, and able to marry anyone I want in whatever state in the USA that I want in this remarkable year.

After a deep breath, and a pause for thought I can sincerely say that there are no words to properly describe the life changing happenings that took place June 26th, 2015. How it will change our lives forever.

I'm in total awe, honored, but most of all, I feel profoundly proud.

All my love and admiration to all those that continue to fighting the good fight..

    ~Aubrey.

    Which modern world?
Because your kinda asuming there is a set one. There are societies where it is and will always be excetlpted societies in which it has been excepted and always will and societies where polygamy is the norm and every man has 55 wives. These things tend to differ wildly.

I listened to President Obama's whole speech from the 26th, as I didn't hear the whole thing when it happened, and I have to say, he uttered one of his best lines,

"Today, our union became a little more perfect."
