Okay, not really at the back of my head. It's more like the nape of my neck, and it only happens when I'm getting pretty hungry.

It sounds like soft crackling, or a rain stick. It doesn't hurt at all, but it's really random.

Oddly enough, it only seems to happen early in the morning or late at night. Maybe that's when I'm hungriest, but... yeah.

I've tried looking this up, but there were no answers. And I'm even sure if this is supposed to belong in the section. Sorry.

Does anyone know what this is? Or experiences the same thing?

EDIT: Actually, I just did a google search and it seems as if there are some answers. I could've sworn they weren't there before.

Just serves to prove how you should google before posting a thread. Oops. Sorry guys.

Moderators, if you see this, feel free to delete it. Otherwise, you guys can discuss about weird sounds you hear throughout your body.

I've felt/heard this too. I've always assumed it was normal.

Turns out it is. Google just likes to hide answers from me until it's too late.

    ...

Okay, I accept full blame. I'm sorry for making a useless thread.

I get this normally after I eat it. It's like a cracking, bubbling sound.

I'm not sure if this is the same thing but, I used to get these weird ticks that were audible in my head/neck. I never found out what they were and I don't even think that I still get them. I'm so glad that they stopped. They really used to scare me.

My neck at the base of my skull does this usually when I am tired. (Though it might be triggered when I am hungry too). I always assumed it was simply tired muscles and the discs in my neck needing a rest...
