Title says all. I am starting a GSA at my high school with two allies. They both have more experience with GSAs than I do, so I'm kind of just following along their ideas. And advice how to spread the word fast and attract people? Also, what are some good activity ideas for our kickoff event?

Well, I'd suggest putting up flyers. I have a QSA (Queer-Straight Alliance, same thing except for everyone, not just gay people, I can't really go to a GSA cuz I'm not gay...) and we just put up flyers. Although, we do have a website and a few social media accounts, so that, too!

We have planned to do most of that already. The administration has allowed us to put up three posters up around the school and last planning meeting I suggested we connect the club to social media.

We also accidentally put it on National Coming Out Day. Happy mistake!

Are there any good LGBT related films that would be appropriate for school? So far, the best we have is Mean Girls, G.B.F, and Rent.
