I find myself listening to sadder songs more and more.I don't think I've cried so much in my life as much as I've cried these last few months. It helps in a way, a good cry makes me feel just a bit better. I know it sounds silly but they do help. i was wondering if anyone listens to songs to cry.

I thought it would be nice to post these songs.

These are two of my many songs i cry to

I've compiled a playlist over the past 3 years. Many are quite sad. Though I will say that if you listen closely to all of them, you would know me very well by the end.

Collection No. 1

(Currently, it is pending mod approval so it may take a bit to show up).

One song that almost always makes me sad in a good way is 'Breathe me' by Sia.
It might be because I associate it with the extremely tear-jerking ending of 'Six Feet Under', but I think it also has something to do with the fact that the lyrics are so familiar, in a way.
They seem to describe how I'm feeling when I feel depressed and alone, something that luckily doesn't happen too often anymore.

"Ouch, I have lost myself again
Lost myself and I am nowhere to be found,
Yeah, I think that I might break
Lost myself again and I feel unsafe"

Recorded in one take, Freddie Mercury's last song. He was seriously ill, toward the end of his life. They told him to take it easy, and he refused. This was his last gift to us.

This is a song by Glen Campbell that he wrote when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He wrote it for his wife and kids on a day when he had exceptional clarity. It is about how, despite the fact that they are all watching him slowly leave them, he will not remember them. He talks about how they will watch as he wastes away, and be sad and cry for him, and he won't be sad. He won't miss them, because he won't know who they are.

"I'm never gonna hold you like I did
Or say I love you to the kids
You're never gonna see it in my eyes
It's not gonna hurt me when you cry."

Every time.

Two songs that always got me are "The Little Girl" by John Michael Montgomery, and "Alyssa Lies" by Jason Michael Carroll. Maybe because I'm a parent and they're both about abused/neglected children.

Skid Row - Wasted Time is one of the saddest songs ever. Perhaps only second to Spinal Tap's Lick My Love Pump

I don't crack up and cry or something, I just get a little sad.

Necropolis Theme - Heroes OMM 3 (The last few notes scream unacceptance)
Lost In Paradise -Evanescence (duh)

There was this one song by Nickelback a few years ago that I felt my heart sink every time I heard it.
