so I plan on getting a haircut. I am going to cut my hair very short. my parents being the people they are will not like it. I personally know I will love it. I'm a little nervous because I don't want to get in huge trouble but this is my hair and I am going to do with it what I please. I just hope they can understand. which they probably won't. but I need this change and it is part of who I am an if they really do love me then they will at least try to understand. what do you guys think?
As long as your not hurting anybody I think that you should do what makes you happy. However before you do it weigh your options and evaluate your possible outcomes, are there going to be any consequences and if there are can you live with them? But at the end of the day it is hair that you are going to change, it will grow back. Hope that helps, good luck!!
I'd say go for it. They may be upset but at a certain point, they should come around and begin to understand.
It's just a haircut. I don't get it what's the point of being angry at someone because of their haircut. They may express their opinion but in the end it should be always you who decides. It's your haircut, not theirs.
Go for it. Your parents can get angry and it may look terrible but it will grow back. It's also your hair not your parents.
I fully agree with the others - Do it! My parents don't like me getting tattoos, but it's my body and my money and I got them anyway. They weren't thrilled but they grew to accept it and now I no longer need their "permission" to do something. Just like mine accepted the tattoos (Which are permanent, haircuts aren't) - yours will accept and maybe even come to like your short hair
i was in your place a year ago! i went from really long hair to very short hair and i felt great!! i didn't care about anyone's opinion and people already was telling me not to do it but who cares? i wanted to be myself! please do it and don't think about it twice you will not regret it!
Thanks guys! I plan on getting it cut soon. My parents will be frustrated because they say I have beautiful thick hair and should grow it out but that's not what I want. And you guys are right it's my hair not theirs so I should be able to do with it what I want. So I guess that's what I'm going to do. Also Ruby Dragon what kinds of tattoos did you get? I love tattoos and the stories behind them and plan to get several of my own when I'm old enough.
