I haven't started anything yet so I wasn't sure if it was a victory or not :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Well I went to a new friend's house who happens to be a hair stylist and she did some major work on all of my wigs so they look so lifelike now with volume and then we talked fashion and she has been so affirming and using proper gender terms as well as correcting people at her salon. Also she said I look tall and slim like a supermodel. Why do I have a hard time with that when people say that even unsolicited. She also is a belly dancer instructor and I'll be joining her for that soon.

    So invigorating. So validating.

So I looked up a church in my area that is the only one I know of that is LGBT affirming and majority. I got up my courage to go last Sunday, and they were SOOO friendly! They had little cookies before the service and gumbo afterwards. The message itself was positive and applicable. They are pastored by a lesbian couple, and another trans* guy asked me about my pronouns and then started introducing me to everyone. It was my first time having been in a group setting with a lot of LGBT people, and I'm really glad it went so well. I can't wait to go back!

p.s. If anyone else is looking for a church like this, apparently the organization is MCC. Good luck!

It's a major victory to become comfortable with wearing your desired clothing choices by yourself and also in public.

Today my therapist said that she is going to fax 'the letter' to an endo so that I can start HRT!

First, I am still alive, after a hell of a week, where I went through the worst crisis I experienced since I accepted, four years ago, that I'm a man.
Second, I have my appointment with the Endo in June... Which sucks, but at least I have the appointment now.
Third, I have an appointment with my therapist next week, on monday.

None of those feel like a real victory. I'd rather tell you I'll go for dinner with a girl, or that I'll throw a killer party on my place, but oh well...

You know yourself best and what you consider a victory but i'd say getting the endo appointment is something i'd love at this point! I still got quite a long way to go before I get it I think, which sucks for me.

But, my small victory is that i've started the facial hair removal thingy, yay

Well, I found these absolutely fabulous boots that fit like a glove and got so many compliments on.

Second people gendered me properly, if not, they corrected themselves.

Third, just look at my latest album. By far the most girly I've ever been. Friends both bio and trans were jealous when I texted them pics.

Again, to people who worry about passing and all that, look at some of my old albums. I leave those there for posterity sake. Now look at my latest ones.

I've said it before and I'll say it again--would bang. You honestly look a bit like Taylor Swift.

I came out to my four best friends the other day and they're trying really hard. They keep forgetting to call me Seth (which is understandable) but every time it happens they correct themselves. My other best friend - who I haven't seen in months - is coming over today and I'm going to tell her too. She will be the only person I've told in person; all the others were via letters cos I'm a big scaredy cat. I'm also in the process of writing another letter coming out to my parents, who's seen to have completely forgotten the last time, and ask them if I can get a binder.

Small Victories? My parents supports my MtF sister, so I started to support her, too. Anyway, at Christmas, my folks took us to the mall in our old town (we moved about 3 months earlier). At the mall, I saw my best friend looking at me. My mom encourage me to talk to him, so I did.

He didn't believe I was his best friend until my mom and dad came over. He asked me if I want to go to a movie, mom and dad said I can, go we went. New Year's Eve we went out to a restaurant with his parents. At the restaurant, I was called young lady.

Last Friday, he too me to his school's dance (my old school before we moved) and most of my friends can't believe I am a girl.

I've been presenting as female all day and my family have been (mostly) using the right pronouns!
