Small Victories

Today I unexpectedly had someone call me by my preferred name, without having to ask, thanks to my best friend.
I'm not officially going by it yet, but having this happen helped me gain a bit more insight to how I feel about the name, and now I think it might the right name for me!

In short, it was pretty awesome!

WE TALKED ABOUT IT!!!!! sorry about the caps hehehe. well she actually made me talk about it and it wasnt nearly as awkward as i thought it was going to be it was so easy to actually be my self for once.

So today I talked to a friend who's a transwoman, someone who's taken hormonal replacement for quite some time. There were some things she told me about HRT that really, REALLY made me start to want to pick my phone up and call my doctor immediately. From the sounds of it, just regular hormonal replacement for me would be heaven. It's really only getting down to it.

The only con to this is that it doesn't do anything to voice, so I'll have to somehow retrain mine a bit.

 

I just sent a 'coming out email' to my mum, and I feel like I'm going to die. She's in Iran though, and first home on Thursday, so she'll get a couple days to think about it.

Changed my mind on coming out to my parents via letter. Planning on telling dad after band practice tomorrow. Dad's not going to be home for dinner tonight before the new band's practice, so I'm going to have pizza witm mom. Seriously debating in my head about coming out to her tonight.....

Dad ended up coming home before we had practice. Gonna come out to him tomorrow. I'll call mom and tell her Wednesday.

Came out today. Completely. It feels really good. It went well. I can now try harder without worrying.
