    4000th reply to this thread.

This might be the biggest non "what are you thinking" or fun and games thread on this site.

And it's full of small victories and major triumphs.

I just came out to my friend (it seems like I am coming out to somebody every week nowadays  ) and she keeps calling me "bro" since then, to the point when it gets a little freaky, but still it´s lovely.

I finally got my ear piecing re opened. Was going to go and get it done professionally but when I mentioned it to a friend she said she would do it. The plan was she would numb it with ice before pushing the stud through. But she ended up just pushing the stud through in the end which to be honest didn't hurt as much as I thought. As I was at a social do with other people around I was worried about yelling out loud lol. Really pleased with it even though I got a bit of stick from my brother who was there, many people wouldn't believe that I had had it done there and then. The only downside to the night that in my rush to go out that night I forgot to take the clear nail varnish off that I've worn this week which was also picked up my brother and wife but I think I got around it.

Anyway when I got home I put the matching stud in the other ear and really pleased with the results.

I changed my name on Facebook to a gender neutral nickname of my birthname and it's taken me months (literally since September) to do that.

When I went to have my hair dyed/styled and my eyebrows waxed today I also had a manicure. Absolutely loved although has to op for clear varnish after as I has to go to my parents after. Next time hopefully I'll get a colour.

GUYS!!! I get to keep both my NHS and my private gender clinic appointments (for now), because now (hopefully, because the doctor said it should be fine) I can use the NHS for a top surgery referral and by the time I get to my second appointment with them, I should already be on T with the private clinic.

Please yes, let me have this.

Cis guys with wide hips are an oddly comforting thought. As are, I'm sure, cis women with broad shoulders.

You are not defined by your body. Men and women come in all shapes and sizes. Doesn't matter if you're cis or trans, who you are is beautiful.

I was going to whine about my med situation, but I just got a call out of the clear blue from Mazzoni to tell me they're going to send me my shit to hold me over until I can get my work situation figured out. Thank fucking god, since I know I'd lose my shit if I had to go without it. So what I'll try doing is asking my shift supervisor or my mom what our Labor Day weekend is like, and if it's in the deck for me, I'll try to get something for then. Granted, it's going to suck major that I'll likely be spending one of my only days off down there, but at least I'll have something...hopefully.

I find trans women with some masculine qualities to be alluring as well as trans men with feminine qualities.

    People are beautiful.

Edit: realizing now that this comes across as sarcastic, which it is not intended to do.

so, I got a call from my mom to go next door and help my dad, he's 76 trying to install a 300 pound window by himself.... so off I go, after we got it in place we sat down for a break, we both needed it. and we were talking about stuff, and he mentioned his meds etc. and I mentioned my HRT meds and some of the side effects that were similar like low blood pressure etc. and that I am in a better head space than I can remember. he didn't say anything but didn't shut me down either. we talked emotions and he said he can get very emotional the past few years, and I said about how the estrogen has given me back my emotions because I didn't feel much of anything before. it was a nice talk.
