    Ok, HUGH FREAKING VICTORY!!!!!

I did it!! i went out as my real self, i went out as Sarah, it was to a fundraiser with over 200 people there, people who i've known for a couple years didnt know me; some had to take a second look, some it was my voice or they wouldnt have known me, and some it was the tattoo on my arm.

Holy Crap!!!! it was so fantastic even strangers came up to me and told me that i looked beautiful. i was on cloud 9, still am.....

been pretty busy lately but thought I'd stop by and share a bit.

When talking to my SO about different political ideologies and how people's perceptions can change with exposure, My SO referenced his father as being very changed. He talked about how having people of different identities come into his life has made his father more accepting, and he explained how "One of his son's is gay [my SO's brother], and another is dating a transman" which granted I've never told my future Father-in-law, but my SO believes just my behavior around him has had some impact. It's also not often he calls me that out loud so it felt pretty dang good.

So my mom bought me a dress, sunglasses and lip gloss. Nice.

But she still gives me a hard time about my skirt or dresses being too short... they are to my knees. Anyways... still a victory.

I found the PDF from my insurance company about trans coverage, and everything looks fantastic. Some things are considered cosmetic, which is a shame for those who could benefit from them, but that's it. Also, reversal procedures aren't covered--but that doesn't affect me. I'm a little confused by some of the language here, but I'm sure my doctor could make sense of it.

I'm so much closer to getting where I need to be, but now I just need to figure out to what extent they'll cover me; if they'll cover only a percentage of what I want or they'll cover all of it and I just need to take care of the copays. If it's the latter, then I could probably get it all squared away if I get this job with my mom's workplace (that is if I'm not screwing around as a temp for a while). If it really does go that way, I'd love to get top surgery before the year is out or early next year. Plus, they also cover phallo which is fucking amazing. Put that's probably going to be a gift to myself for when I turn 30 if I make it that far.

So... i have an awsome new sports bra. It has cool violet colour, breathable fabric and I got it on sales. I'm happy about my clothes from the men's section as well.

OK its only a very victory but I need the boost at the moment. I went to my mum's for dinner then food shopping afterwards whilst wearing a woman's checked shirt I got from peacocks a few weeks back. Probably didn't really look much different from wearing a male shirt but I knew. Also the fact I brought some new nail varnish, eyeshadow applicators and Quality blades for my razor while shopping may have brought attention to the fact I was wearing a woman's shirt.

So I put in an application for a place near me, and I'm hoping I can work as stealth as possible. If all goes well, I could start next week and pull in $300 a week or so (and that's after taxes). I'm hoping with that, if things end up working out and things get complicated with me getting top surgery or my name changed, then I'll have that paid off in a few months.

Eh, this isn't a gender thing but I want to share anyway because it makes me seriously happy…so I came out about my sexuality to two of my friends, three came out to me as bisexual in response. Love them <3
