Today I got an appointment to consultation with a surgeon. They're still not gonna do the ol' slice n' dice until a year or two from now, but just getting consultation is great. I also got a bit surprised, because I got the note in the mail yesterday and it's as soon as next week!

I use patches and pills myself, but according to what a transdude friend of mine said, the shots do hurt in the beginning but you get used to it. and besides that, man up dude...you're a guy now, so don't whine and get it over with...(i know stereotyping and such..)

Since I have started to be more open about my sexual orientation and my gender identity, I suddenly seem to meet lgbt+ people everywhere. I honestly knew no one who was openly lgbt until last September. Since then, nearly a dozen people I met in totally different situations came out to me during one of my first conversations with them. Always before I told them about my identity (I am not confident enough yet to share that information with people I just met). Somehow I must have started to give off a very queer vibe  Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Anyway, this really inspires me to be more open and confident myself and it makes me feel far less lonely.

I got at least five weird looks from people when I used the women's bathroom today - some from people in the bathroom and someone from people (including two guys) when I came out/went in. I also used the men's side of the trying on bit in the shop - it was in an oval shape and the men used the left and the women used the right. And to finish off with a little personal victory - I went into the men's section of a shop and didn't feel awkward or out of place.

I've never posted here before but I just had to share - I had my first T shot yesterday and I'm pretty psyched! I noticed all the hormone victories here recently - congrats all!

Walked right into the bathroom like I owned the place full of 20 year old women. Not a strange glance. Danced my ass off and was told I was beautiful by a few people. And did I mention I Danced my ass off?

Was also nice to walk right in the vip entrance in front of line a line of 200 people?

Congrats! Sounds like you had a good night.

It could just be in my head. It probably IS all just in my head. But after three days, I think my skin is already softer!
