Small Victories

Congrats, I hope to do the same someday. Maybe Thursday if I'm lucky. That's when my third therapy session is.

 

I got a gym membership after like six months of no gym. And not only that, but I asserted myself in getting my name on file as Patrick and they even put me as male in the system. It was quite awkward but I did it. The guy signing me up even asked me straight up if I was trans so he could make sure he got my gender right in the system (I've been passing pretty well lately so idk if he would've even said anything if I hadn't asked if the name needs to be my legal name and he saw the very feminine name on my checking account) and somewhat jokingly said to come see him if anyone gave me any trouble in the men's locker room. I don't really feel any need to actually use the locker room, but still, it's nice that he made it clear I could use it.

 

I've been trying out the name Jodie among a few friends since the beginning of the year and it just feels, like, right I guess. So happy with the progress I'm making working all this out.

 

it really does feel fantastic doesnt it? i still have my underwear from before but havent worn them for months, im keeping a couple pairs for when i need to have a procedure dont 'down there' and sometimes there's blood, i dont want to ruin my nice panties. my therapist says the old ones are my period panties...... i guess she's right.

i did that with Sarah, if it feels right, having some friends field test it is a good way to get used to hearing it.

coming out of the funk i've been in all week after i was threatened by someone in my trans support group. she's left the group, and that helps. it's been an unfortunate situation all around.

 

Nearly lost the tip of my finger doing something idiotic and splattered blood all over the house. I'm finally a real man! Hahaha

 

haha, yep. did you bandage it with paper towel and electrical tape?

Lol nope, I held paper towels over it for twenty minutes till the bleeding stopped and have since done nothing. That's a good idea though because I can't even find any bandaids and it keeps bleeding when I touch it wrong. I like having it all visible though so I can show it to my fiancee and she gets all queasy and freaks out hilariously lol.

Pro tip though, you can use superglue for cuts like this. Seriously, if you don't believe me, Google it.

 

I believe you. I've seen my dad do it a bunch of times. Mine actually isn't super gaping though. The blood is sufficiently holding it together. I think it would've been a lot worse it it hadn't gone vertical down my thumbnail.

 

I measured myself for the first time in a few months and I'm officially 6'0! I've been going with 5'11" and three-quarters for a while, but now I've definitely got that extra half an inch, and I'm probably done growing. I mean, in my family, most of the guys are at least 6'3", but I'm definitely not complaining.

 

I took a shower and washed away the blood. It looks way worse now. Now would be a good time to actually own superglue I think...

I got my hair cut! I was so nervous waiting there, but I had someone with me to make sure I didn't freak out too much, and I LOVE it.

 

Just got my first "generic" dress(non-fandom) today alongside a Zelda themed one. Potential pics(minus face for now) when I get home where my breastforms are.

 

I "passed" again. Granted, I was asked by I wasn't in school (this older man thought I was 16), but I'll take that over getting misgendered on blast.
