I have so much dysphoria, and a lot of it is with my hair, cause it grows so fast and my family can't afford me getting a haircut any more than twice a year. So my sister cut my hair! And it doesn't suck! This is until I go out and actually get a haircut but it'll do and it makes me so happy!

On the other end of the spectrum than AkingOfMagic here, I got the courage to order a long hair wig, plucked the eyebrows a bit, and got a glimpse of future me in the bathroom mirror this morning. I do have potential  Woot!

Even without makeup and all of the feminine accoutrements I looked in the mirror and thought... my face is getting a little more visibly feminine.

I've decided my full name will be Brooke Victoria Lexa A(I'll give you the last initial lol). And yes, I got that from The 100, cause she's my favorite, I love the name, and I like the way it sounds.

I was with my friends talking about how I came out and they were grinning and saying, "look how far you've come from last year, you're so strong, and you look so masculine." and I was so happy.

Now that I've come out, I can talk about it freely with my mom, and so we went to Walmart and we were in the shampoo aisle and was all "oh I'm low on shampoo mom" and she immediately grabs a bottle Of Axe shampoo and goes, "is this fine?" without hesitation, as if it was so normal.
And then I asked if I could get a new button up because I only had one and then explained my dysphoria and she said, "yes, of course" and I went with her to pick out two shirts and almost started crying because of how happy and proud I was. It was a good day yesterday.

I'm only gonna have one middle name, still unsure which it will be though, but I like the meanings of both my names.

    Akari means Light in Japanes
    and Zoe means Life

So it's like I chose life by following my light to a happier tomorrow with transitioning.

Funny thing is that I chose Akari for it's meaning and connection to Digimon, Zoe was because of Fallout 4 and Digimon. I didn't know about it's meaning till last month, then I cam up with the choosing life thing because I like how it sounds ^.^

in Fallout 4 the robot couldn't say Akari, but could say Zoe, and I liked the sound of the name, so that's how fallout 4 influenced that choice.

Congrats Brooke ^.^ Here's hoping I get mine when the time comes.

    ---------- Post added 10th Jan 2017 at 11:58 PM ----------

I think it finally hit that I may be able to transition with HRT in a couple months. I felt my heart flutter at the thought, I can hardly wait for that time to come. I feel like I need to cry from happiness, I don't know if I ever truly cried happy tears before. are the sensations supposed to feel so similar to sad crying, but with a smile?

    Thank you!

That's how it is for me at least. Almost like sad crying except you're smiling and feel happy not sad.
