so I was at a party on Saturday night and ran into a friend, and passionate activist/supporter, and we chatted about how things are going etc. I told her I came out sexually, and I came out to her as trans and that I'm really just starting this journey and seeing a therapist. she asked my Fem name and I told her but that I want to still be referred to by my birth name for now at least. she was very supportive. it was nice to be able to say it to someone other than my therapist or just in my house.

The more people know the more real it feels doesn't it.

Holy crap, I came out to my friend face to face. I didn't intend for it to happen, it just happened. I had like a weird out of body experience and I feel pretty anxiou, like I wanted to get up and run out of the restaurant but I didn't. I'm out to a real person that I see frequently! I told her to keep calling me by my birth name for the time being until I want to be called something different. She was cool about it, thank god.

It's nothing to do with gender, but... I've managed my budget and I can afford to pay for my own phone contract. There's a part of my life that actually makes sense to me right now. Huge victory, my life rarely goes right, let alone makes any kind of sense.

Never said this couldnt be about other victories. Lot of people are incapable of what you just did. Good job.

I wanted to write something but it's pointless to make a new thread. Anyway, coming out of this stupid closet as queer feels So Much Better. Problems are being solved for real. People treat me how I want and don't place mistaken expectations on me. Interactions feel more natural, no unnecessary acting, or "noises" on the way. Life is easier. Life is more pleasant. Life is better. That's actually a big victory.

Took my first huge step- at a checkup at the doctor's today I shooed my family out of the room and came out to my doctor. She had a private chat with my mother (who knows already) and she gave her some numbers of nearby gender therapists including who was most recommended! This is so much better than frantic Googling!

When I was talking to my brother today, one of his friends went up to him and asked if I was his brother (I didn't reply so I didn't give myself away XD) and when I was in the bathroom, this snooty girl who I've seen around occasionally looked me up and down a few times and looked really confused.

Also, I got the rest of my GCSE results back...all A*s! Yus! I'm going out with my family tonight to have dinner and celebrate.

    ok, so there's this....

I saw my gender therapist yesterday, we talked about sexuality, attractions, and possible transitioning and different ways to do that..... one thing we talked about was that some of her patients have gone on hormones to 'settle' the mind on gender incongruence etc. we discussed effects and side effects. now I really need to learn what is likely to happen regarding breasts, testies, body fat, hair (especially body hair), emotional stuff, and possible risks for my heart. such a big step, so much to think about, and so exciting and scary. im not sure I have even started to process it yet in real way.

My coworkers are finally starting to catch on to my pronouns-- and all of my bosses are really good about correcting people and using my pronouns even when im not around and to people outside of the company. I'm so glad to have this job, working on a college campus is awesome

I ordered a beer at a pizza place and the lady behind the counter tried to comfort me for having a baby face . So that's actually a good sign. I pass! And I haven't gotten misgendered in a while (knock on wood).

Tfw you tell someone on a dating app you're trans and they can't tell 'which way' from your pictures so you ask them to guess and they say MTF. Even when he KNOWS I'm trans he thinks I was born a guy

I got shirts and trousers from the boys section for my school uniform! Yes! (Even though they're age 13-14 and I'm nearly 16, but hey, I'm a short guy)

Also I changed my Facebook pronouns to 'they' as opposed to 'she' and that made me happy.
