I hope for the best! :icon_bigg

    The article states:

Let's hope they'll get a similar result, with a majority voting in favour. :icon_bigg

Slovenia is definitely the most successful and progressive country in that region ( same with Czech Republic). Hope it passes.

According to one of the comments under that article, it was passed.

I find this shocking to be honest. You wouldn't think Slovenia would even think about something like that.

Congrats to Slovenia to passing marriage equality!

It's hard to believe that the United States is still behind.

The U.S. is not the "wonderland" its often described as. Granted there ARE far worse places to be, however there are better ones too

It was passed by parliament at 65% in favour apparently, so quite a majority!

And I think the shock is probably due to it being a bit of a mixbag in that area. You have some quite liberal countries with regards to LGBT (as with the Czech Republic and now clearly Slovenia!) and some with a long way still to go (Slovakia and Poland for instance).

Poland has still a long way to go in more things than LGBT equality.
I think selbst the polish people would agree with me on this.

Glad Slovenia is now there. Maybe I should keep my fingers crossed more often, it seems to work.
