Do I understand correctly that we can no longer show our age under our avatar without also checking the box to show our birthday? I liked seeing ages before, but I'm not interested in showing a birthday for myself. While I realize seeing an age can bias perceptions, it is sometimes useful and I would like to show mine. Also, did I miss it, or was there not a way (on the page) to search the help subforum? I wanted to check for this topic appearing previously. Thanks
Hi, It's on the to-do list to resolve. It's also one of my current pet peeves, so I'm hoping it is something that will be a relatively quick and easy fix. Martin.
You can use the standard search at the top of each page. You'll see that when accessing it from inside one of the forums, the box 'Search this forum only' is automatically ticked so that it only pulls up results from the forum you're currently using the search bar in. So, for example, using it at this very moment and not unticking that box would only yield results from Help and Feedback. It's designed to have searches run from a single location, rather than having a main community-wide search along with more specific search areas for each forum. Instead, the filter settings just automatically update as you move around the site.
