I would have to say that my favorite horror movie is "Silence of the Lambs." Anthony Hopkins is SUCH a great horror actor! He really sends chills down my spine when he plays Hannibal Lector.

Although, "Pet Sematary" gets a lot of nostalgia points for me because that's the first horror movie I had ever seen and it scared the living day lights out of me then. I watch it now and just laugh at how old it looks. XD

It is so difficult to pick a number one. The obvious classics like Silence of the Lambs, The Shining, Halloween. The B rate 90's slasher flicks like Scream. Even the modern Conjuring series I love. Although I just saw The Nun and is was underwhelming.

If I had to go with a must watch every time it would be Jaws

I agree on that, I really love old horror but I also like a lot of the new ones. Halloween was the first scary movie I saw and it still scares me to this day.

Anthony Hopskins is great he gives me chills in “silence of the lamb”. And Jodie Foster was and still my crush growing up. She’s smart, inquisitive and such a great actress.

I grew up with all the 80's slasher flicks, so they have a strong sense of nostalgia for me.
But Halloween is my absolute favorite horror movie ever.

It's crazy, I've seen all the Friday and Nightmare movies and so many others, and looking back most are cheesy as hell.
But I would still watch a new entry in those series just for curiosity and nostalgia. I'm hoping this new Halloween movie is good.

Omg I just watched Friday the 13th just last week and laughed my butt off. I use to be so scared of that movie. Now I couldn’t help seeing through adults eyes how cheesy it is. I also like watching the newest series too. Man that’s going to awesome to see if they change it up at all on the new Halloween. I got goosebumps already:slight_smile:

I'm hoping it turns out to be a very tense feeling kind of movie. The original wasn't bloody or anything, but it just had such an atmosphere to it.
Not to mention, that simple yet so effective theme music.

Probably Hereditary. At one point I was so scared that I started laughing because I guess that's just a reaction. I wanted to leave the theatre for lot of it lolll

@HM03 I would probably laugh along with you. Lol just because if someone else starts laughing I will laugh too. I don’t even need to know why .

I don't have a favorite. I watch scary movie occasionally. In broad daylight, then spending the rest of the day watching kids shows to recover. Mama was really creepy.
